I was wondering the same thing. I didn't take this one due to the red news. I thought it would affect the USD in some way.
My broker gave 1.32925 HIGH on the UC so I miss this entry.

AU stopped out -12 pips ouch!

me too ..following golden advice from the captains of the industry (Holy bible on the 1st page) : Never trade during significant macroeconomic news. Close all intraday trades at least 3 minutes before the announcement no matter if they are in open profit or losing.

Yeah. Maybe there are some news that aren't impactful enough for some pairs although they're listed as "high impact"? Right now, for me is red = avoid (following the rules). But I'd like to know if there's anything else that we should take into consideration .

Looking at this on a 4hr time frame seeing a level around 1.0255 for a short. Once a bearish candle can form on the 4hr chart will look to short with a target of 1.0180 or once a green candle is formed on the pullback to that level will exit. The stop will be if a green candle forms after we have entered again on the 4hr time frame.
Anyone looking at 1.0536 for a short eu?

I missed Cad by 1 pip on entry, but the news you speak of can have a big impact on USD/Cad, Cad can move a lot on crude news so in order to be safe it's best not to trade that pair on Crude inventories data, to be honest unless there is a massive shock it has little effect on the other 3 pairs we look at. Looks like the Donald knows how to shake things up

You still didn't say why you went short there - I don't see it.., also you are trading at a time that makes the result of your trade completely random and high risk. Just sayin...
hahahaha - you've got to love it, Dow sheds 150 points in 20 mins once DT started, and is now up 100+ in another 20 mins, what do you recon on dow 20000 before the day is done, whatever your views are you have to admit it looks like an interesting time ahead
It was OK not to trade usd/cad because of the data. As Ziggy says CAD is quite dependant on oil. Otherwise this macro isn't that much high impact and sometimes I trade during its release.
I didn't go AUD long because I considered it already tested.
