{quote} They all have one "obvious" thing in common They're all trying to sell you a product or service. All they obviously need to "know" is that (uninformed) retail traders with the attention span of a gold fish, eat this $h!t up all day everyday It's unfortunate that you believe a series of 10 minute youtube "infomercials" counts as a legitimate published resource. Those videos aren't educational, they're advertisements/infomercials trying to solicit you to subscribe to there services & products. The only thing they're teaching you is how to...

Well no sh*t. You really think I didn't know that they are trying to promote their products and services before I posted them? The majority of trading related videos promote something (books as well). To say that they provide no value is absurd. You just have to be smart enough to read between the lines and have enough common sense not to buy their products and services. All of those so called "infomercials" came from a well known former pit trader's blog (http://verniman.blogspot.com.ar)... a professional trader that sales nothing. Yet you are on here soliciting books that cost money. What makes a book so much better than a video? Nothing! As long as they both provide valuable information that will improve your trading. Here... what if I posted a Steidlmayer video (http://www.cmegroup.com/education/steidlmayer-volume-strips-video.html)? Oh and here is your "legitimate published resource (https://www.cmegroup.com/education/interactive/marketprofile/handbook.pdf)". Stop thinking your way is the only way.

"Retail traders love quotes & axioms. Boiling something down to a single sentence makes it appear as a universal truth. A physical law that cannot be broken. Its a great way to reduce critical thinking. After all, if George Soros said something, it surely must be true. The guy is a billionaire and couldnt possibly be wrong.
What you need to realize is that quotes are almost always out of context and oversimplified. There are also many quotes...

Is that all you do is quote crap off the internet? http://www.followingthetrend.com/2014/05/why-technical-analysis-is-shunned-by-professionals/
Sounds like a know it all to lazy to write there own argument. Hmmm sounds familiar.

Remember, you are on FF like the rest of us. <-- that right there is saying a lot!

just to join in the fun, here are my levels

EU long 1.0508 - but very aware of the BRN lurking below, so I'd use 1.0497
EU short 1.0633 - but only if if goes straight their in a liquidity drive style move

AU long 0.7292
AU long 0.7239
UJ short 116.52
UJ short 117.36
Cad short 1.3292, but BRN again, so 1.3303
Cad short 1.3432
however, we have the small matter of NFP & the Canadian numbers at 13:30 UK time

I see the oxygen thief still has to put us all in our place, wish I was that clever but in the meantime I'll just press on and make the most out of my own very small brain

I'm getting my levels almost similar to yours except EU. I believe here you are not just looking at the highest volume.

{quote} I guess we all remember the $ taking off after the Dec FOMC mtg, the post above was the next day levels. I remember many times seeing question regarding how long are the levels valid for, and the basic answer is until they are either touched or tested close by, although of course the more time that passes the more the market is digesting new info etc. Well here is a not too shabby response on the usdcad from that 15 Dec level {image} just saying

no - these were just me looking at the charts before going to bed, where I would be interested in looking to trade today, but I will still see what Dale has to say as I'm not in the same league as he is with this form of market reading

I wanted to go for aud/jpy instead but my entry was missed by few pips. I also looked at this level but was a bit afraid. The reason was that markets that are at their high/lows sometimes do a "market squeeze" move. This one worked pretty fine though Good job identifying it!

I was watching AUDCAD short at POC 0,9733 but the move up seems to be pretty strong. So, I did not get into a trade. Did anybody take it?

Trader Dale maybe you can help me...(sorry its slightly off topic). You recommend an (almost) 1:1 risk ratio here. Is that your general strategy to trading. If so - why is that?
Always look for reasons not to take a trade
