No trading today or tomorrow due to Non-Farm Payroll

So I finish the week on 96 pips and 1.95% account growth. 2% a week ain't bad!

Lots of movement overnight in the Asian session, which resulted in lots of currency pairs going over the allowed 40% of the ADR range box.

At 06.30 London time, USDCAD was showing a valid sell trade. However if the trade was taken with the EA, the trade would not have activated as the range grew past the Max range before 08.00. The Range Max is built into the EA which would have saved you from a breakeven / small lost trade.

However, I personally did not take this trade. Below I will explain why, so if you are trading the Forex Breakout Direction Indicator system, I want to give you some insight into my trading style, so hopefully you can understand my technique.

Firstly the range box was flat against yesterdays range box. Sometimes this isn't a big deal, but I like to see a lower range box for a sell trade and a higher range box for a buy trade.

Secondly, and more importantly, if you look at the Currency Strength Indicator, you will see that USD = -418.25 and CAD = +17.90. Whilst this shows CAD had a stronger day yesterday, which is good for a USDCAD sell trade, both currencies are showing strong forex market sentiment.

You don't want to sell against a strong currency. The result would be a sideways market move.

If you wish to be more aggressive in your trading style, increase the ADR %

I set the a test indicator to 50% of ADR today, then made 160 pips

Good example how the CSI indicator saved us from a losing trade today.

Forex Breakout Direction Indicator showing a valid sell signal, however the Currency Strength Indicator was showing a weak USD and a weak CHF, so this was a no trade.

I only time I would trade against each other is there was a major slope within the currency line against each other

Pips banked = 255.2
Account growth = 2.35%

I closed out early, which was mistake, if I waited it out, I would of banked more pips!
