I'm sure Keith will give you a full answer, my experience with Sierra was a good one but the 35 is for sierra, I had to pay for a live data feed on top of the Sierra charge, it may be different for FX but I would say if you want a live futures feed it will be a cost on top of the 35, still a worthwhile investment if you can make good use of it.

As for quality, I'd be surprised if anything was better than sierra

not in the same way, he sometimes posts swing trades with much wider stops and targets, but the main thrust is short term reaction trades at predetermined levels

Ziggy is correct. Sierra Chart software monthly fee is $36. Sierra's Data feed is $35 (which is excellent real-time data). Then you will have to keep in mind you will also pay exchange fees (around $15 with a funded futures account). I pay around $90 a month for everything.

If you were only wanting the charting software for FX - you would only pay $36 a month (no data/exchange costs with FX).

Sierra in my opinion is the best. I've tried several others (NinjaTrader, S5, Market Delta, ect...). The tools that come stock for Sierra you would have to buy as add-on's with other platforms. Plus the cost of Sierra is unmatched.

Geez I sound like a salesman for Sierra... haha!

I personally never double up on a position. Just my personal experience as it can make one go into "hope" mode. If I am wrong in my analysis than let the trade stop me out and move onto the next setup. "There will always be another bus, I just want to make sure I have enough fair to pay for that next ride"

If I miss an entry, I look at it this way if that happens: I start looking at how price is behaving around the level if I miss a entry. I am not looking really looking at a chart when this happens but how price is behaving on the quote screen. If price is floating downwards and spikes near a level somewhat (a few pips) than I may enter at that point based on the behavior of buyers and sellers. I also take into consideration what similar based pairs are doing. If it seems there is support or resistance in conjunction with the direction I am looking to trade also adds to the confluence. Reading the sentiment within the quotes can be done in slower trading times. It takes screen time to understand this aspect.
