Latency arbitrage (HFT) delay broker quotes

Hi fxmadxx, please tell me, do latency arbitrage Traders really earn for long, or just a few weeks then things start getting complicated? Can someone do 10, 20 consistent years in this business, or does it seem to benefit software vendor?

I will tell you from the experiences a trading buddy and me had with the WesternPips EA. But first off, just look at WesternPips MyFXBook account: www.myfxbook.com/members/www35 - Do you see ho many accounts he has and how short they lived? Just some months, most of them not more than 3 months. Wonder why? Because most - if not all - brokers disallow any sort of Latency Arbitrage. Just read up their Service / User Agreement. They forbid using any sort of "unfair advantages" and will refuse any withdrawals if they suspect / proof you used LA.
So from the percentage gains Sergey claims to have made, he must be multi millionaire already. But he is still selling his EA and denies refunds.

My trading buddy purchased his WesternPips EA some months ago. Sergey made him to agree not to refund after 3 days, which I find really weird.
We tried different VPS and different brokers. NY, Amsterdam, London VPS. FxPro, FXCM, XM, GKFX, etc. We also tried quotes from the different Liquidity Providers he offers, LMAX, CQG, Saxo, Rithmic. The VPS had pings of <1-4ms to the Data Center. The pings of the LQ differed, depending on location we tried. But it was like <1ms-25ms. We've always chosen to use the LQ with the lowest ping on the VPS we tested. Long story short: None of them worked.

While Sergey gave a lot of support via email and TeamViewer, which I really need to appreciate, we never got the EA working in terms of being profitable. It had profitable moments, but this was like 1-2 out of 10 trades. All the other times, it either didn't take ANY trades at all, even tho it reported to be up and running on the chart and was running for 1-2 days on different Instruments (EUR/USD, etc., GER30, ...). Or it took some trades, but closed them immediately in the same second it opened, ending up being losses.

In the end, Sergey was blaming my buddy for using the wrong broker / VPS / LQ so that it wasn't working. No refund granted. So from my personal experiences with my buddy and this EA, I came to the conclusion that it isn't working. The only ones benefitting are the sellers of such systems.

Anyone can come and claim he is profitable. And also anyone can come and claim it is scam. So in the end, everybody needs to make their own experiences. Just be careful. If it was that easy and profitable, everybody would use it. Isn't it? And if you buy, insist on having a written agreement of an extended refund period, like 1 or 2 weeks.

forget all these bullshiit and follow real trader with real progress and most important you will definitely be able to withdraw your money, no matter which broker you going to use, because we dont use any trick, we really trade real markets.

i also baught the professional package with the christmas discount, but so far for me its not working good! Only losses and the MT4 is always loosing the Rythmic Data Feed!

I have also purchased their system last year purchased the vps they said tried to make it work on demo and the only results I got were losses.
After this I asked them to set it up only to see more loses. I asked which broker should I use as the slow feed and opened the account with that broker I tried to configure it and still loses. After this I asked them again to set it up so it makes money, at this point I was using the vps they recommended the broker they recommended their software and their settings to my surprise there were still loses on the account.

So my question to westernpips is does your soft actually make money in the markets, on a live account today? If it is can you show upload some statement on myfxbook for accounts that are now live with profits and profit withdrawals?

I advise everyone before purchasing the soft to ask this question and only after this to actually purchase the soft.
