Yes they have stops 50-100pips.
High win rate but can go on long win runs...months on end. But when it goes bad scalping goes real bad when you have a skewed risk reward.
Multi trader equity curve much smoother as risk reward is equal.
OK...back to the darts....

Hi All,
I wish to give a new 2017 EA gift to all subs.
EA is called ATR, based on momentum defined by ATR increase on 4 hour bar.
Backtest: http://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/d...py4hour/112190

If you move to bottom of backtest you can see monthly pips, see attached screengrab.

Same settings since 2011.
No over optimisation, this stand the test of time. Not win every month, but will win every year.
Nearly 8000 pips since 2011 on GBPJPY only. Works on 4 hour GBPJPY best, 4 hour GBPUSD next. User can play with settings.

I will load to live account and publish to TE.
Live trading will mimmick backtest perfectly entry/exit if you use low spread broker. (not allowing for slippages)

PM with your email address for EA. Please allow a day or 2 to receive it as I am quite busy.

I am a newbie to FF. I have been reading your thread with interest and subscribed. I looked at your ATR system on GBPJPY and it has a 75% drawndown. Sorry I would not buy your system if you sold it. It is too risky. Can you please show the number of consecutive losses using this system? You mentioned a 65% win rate but have a 75% drawdown? looking at your trading activity from 11/10/16 to 3/1/17 you won 7/20 trades 35% win rate.

regards,

Your new subscriber.
You came here for the truth and let me unveil it for you

It's a myfxbook strange calculation.
I will attach the mql backtest tomorrow and it's only 28%.
Don't see how myfxbook derive this 75% tbh

I didn't say this ea has 65% win rate.
The system I am running on my TE has 65% win rate..accounts 1 and 2.

This ea not same.as.my TE accounts. I said I won't give it away and that still the case.

I made adjustment to parameters to lower risk and enhance profit with fixed % risk per trade:
http://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/d...py4hour/112190

Start: $10,000
End Balance: $$246,000
Only 2% risk per trade. Model Quality 90%.
Drawdown 29%
Pair: GBPJPY.
Risk Reward 2.5: 1
Annual Pips: 2,455

great thread, best of luck to you in the new year!

Was wondering, your talking abut about sessions? Do you hold positions overnight, and if so, is it because the trade "makes you" or would you rather prefer to close the trade at the end of each session.

I was also wondering a bit about your exit strategy. When it comes to intraday/scalping would you please mind let us know what your general theory is? do you rely on PA, indicators, time, price levels?

finally, whats your average time per trade during intraday trading?

cheers!
Mike
