I am not really familiar with the commercial section of this forum, though some time I take a quick look and found that most threads started months ago, so I give up. ;-)

As a commercial member i can't comment on any topic outside the commercial part of the forum so the only way is to start
a "talk" topic here as i am not planning to leave FF right away.

Also i can only send 1 PM each 24 hours so it has no use sending me PM's anymore.
I am going to close the PM part else it looks like i am not responding to PM's.

And just to be clear, i did not un-buddy (un-friended) anybody, that is just something that happens when you are rewarded the "commercial" status.

About DWMRangesv1.01, this is not the way it should (was intended) to trade.
This looks more like (uncontrolled) counter trend trading and will probably at some point cost you your account.

You have to examine the largest draw down and recovery points and see if it was news that got you out of the DD or was it plain trading.
If it was news well i would be really careful if it was plain trading you should look at what pairs and the lot sizes and figure out how it recovered.

Two images attached, the first one is the DWMRangesv1.01 and the second one is a deliberate martingale counter trend trader.
From the last one we know it can blow your account in a couple of minutes but see the similarity ?
The martingale at least has a "strategy" to trade out of DD, DWMR hasn't and is running without a stop loss.

Recompiled without BDM stuff in it.

Seeing that the test are done really messy and i have no idea who is testing or using what version i just put all the versions i could find here.

There are a couple of reasons why developers put expiry dates in there code.

The first is a simple one and that is because i use my BDM header and tools in the code and there is indeed an expiry date in there due to the testing lab releases.

Second it will make a fool of the people who are trying to sell what you have build (and that happens more than you think).

Third it will force people to always use the latest version so you as a coder do not have to maintain multiple version of the indicator or EA.
I think that it is not more than fair to the developers who already spend a lot of their time on the development and should not have to spend even more time maintaining multiple versions.

Then there is the group of people with big mouths that say that they "do not use any of your shit" but spend most of there posts on the forum complaining about it and asking for personal improvements they can use themselfs.
These people usually also belong to the largest group that uses your stuff but as soon as the have found a way to positively trade with it disappear all of the sudden without sharing their setup with the rest of the users on the forum. And we all know that happens more and more. Just plain greed.
I have noticed that on FF this happens more and more.
The new forum i am setting up will have a simple rule, you can use my stuff but if you do not report back not even if you tested a setup that didn't work and give other users something to learn from you are out in the sense that you can not download anymore. A forum with free stuff on it is for sharing and not for taking it and running away if you think you can profit from it.

As for me taking others stuff duh, not going to invent the wheel twice just improving on it.
Also using people as "testing guinea pigs" do not worry, i am set for live and do not need to work anymore or even trade this stuff i am developing.
I do not do it for myself but for others (not completely true), it is also my hobby.

Let me know if it is the right one i do have a raid backup and as long as i did not update (repaired) the original source there is a change it is still there.
The problem is that i can not remember the original error so i can not look for a source with that specific error in it.

Thank you for making clearer the work with Dash
and your efforts on the forum - I always admired them.
Whoever gets this opportunity from your research, and then does not divide the tests, is doomed to the cell, which eventually gets less and less sun. It is their destiny and according to the Pareto rule there are 80% of such people. But it is worth to continue operating and developing for the remaining 20%.

If Ragusa reports the same i will start digging deeper in the archives.
