the bigger TF u use, the longer time it will need to OP s the range gets further.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for your interest on this strategy. I fixed some glitch in the code regarding trailing stops and order delete, as well as the OHLC functions that I misscoded (the EA kept using Highest High and Lowest Low whatever the user settings were) so here it is, Horizon Break verison 1.1! Enjoy

I wanna test your EA on a live account.
But your I donīt understand your set file on post 1 or 28...
Can you explain it or make it easyer?

Can i apply the default setting on the pairs with M5?

Great work Edorenta! finally comes out a breakout strategy...

Maybe you should take a look at this video, the EA use similar Breakout strategy...

The difference is: that one increase order on every bullish / bearish candle and have a total profit $ based on ADR or sth like that.

EX. Buy stop at 1.1000 sell stop at 1.0000.

When buy order triggered, on every bullish candle it will make a new buy. sell visversa... then it will wait to hit TP or SL.

NO martingale or scale in size is needed.

Thank you for the feedback. Note that the martingale is just a money management setting and that you don't have to use it.
The principle of scaling-in at every new candle is quite risky too when you take a step back, but that's interesting, I might test it

Sorry for my explanations, it's just like this~

When Sell 123 has not reached Target then following with consolidation, Buy stop orders will be accumulated.

If market go down sell hit tp, if reverse happens BUY 123 will deal and following with more BUY.

I've seen the video I quite understand it. However such hedge is just not cost-effective, instead of opening B1 B2 B3 letting run S1 S2 S3 you'd better close S1 S2 S3 and reopen orders without the hedge.. not sure if I'm clear

By the way, I test the EA on a real account with a little balance (was left from a bad trade copy service):

High Ipodbob, thank you very much for you contribution, we always lack people like you to run forward tests. I'm not working much on this project atm but I'll watch over the thread and modify the EA if necessary to fit your needs.

May I ask how many / what project you are working on? I remember you we're on autop but sadly you had some bad luck if I remember correctly losing the code.

Running 1 year backtest takes 1 min..but running 1 year forward test takes 1 year.
No wonder the lack of forward testers.

My back tests don't perform overly well though to be honest but pair testing to see which method works for each one may help
