Hey nice trades Tyross!

I would normally call it a day after am session, but if we get a strong trend day and I feel pretty confident on my longer term bias, I might try again in the afternoon.

So after a kind of foolish attempt fade a spike in a strong market, I ended up finding this baby wolf to take with the trend higher. At least I had something to show for todays efforts, I was pretty annoyed I was not able to participate in the big move up. I think partly why I faded that first trade.

Always learning.

Didn't trade today due to Rollover, but just wanted to point out how you can find so many of these 1min Wolf's every day!

A nice opportunity Sunday night for those trading the higher time frames. I think I have to consider swing trading or using the higher time frames to get bigger targets for my trades. Here's one attempt to use 120min chart for context and entry on the 1min.

HI, nice trades. Is Wolve waves your main strategy?

Hey Pep17

It's not what I would call my main strategy.

Generally I like to look more at the context of the market, to me that is my main objective and it is what will drive my decision making for most of the day. Most days I look for what I consider will be the "play for the day" or am session would be more accurate. If I have the right context I will look for any number of ways of getting in (setups) of which Wolfe waves is just one of them. But I do really like them when they setup! It's a very nice pattern to work off of and good risk reward as you know!

It's sort of contrarian in nature and that suits my personality too, so it's a natural fit, and I will see them all the time.

I have a simple rule on this strategy...
No Wedge... No Wolfe Wave.

Hey Ted,

yeah I like that rule, my preference is the wedgier the better, the 120min setup was almost like parallel lines but there were other stuff too going on that made me want to try that one.

I'm out my last car at 48.75 wish I had one more to hold on to, I think we could see some follow thru tomorrow if it remains weak by EOD.

I often over look that Wolf Waves make great exits too, wish I had more contracts on this one, normally I do, and I could have got out some on these. I was heavily short biased but expecting some pullbacks just didn't think they would get much further than the 1-4 line.

Seems like the thread activity has died down some, I feel like the only guy posting lol. Profitseeker or wizlon still around? Thinking I might focus more on a blog or youtube channel or something like that to log my thoughts/trades and help keep me accountable.

Anyways, hope you all had a profitable FOMC! I just have to start trading bigger, especially if I'm going to hold some overnight.

Take care all and enjoy the waves when you find them!

Thank you for your posts, Robin.

Very interesting, and clear explanations.

I like this rule in post 508: "wedgier the better", and this one in Ted's post (507): "No wedge, no Wolfe"

Hey Robinhood, interesting looking charts!

May I ask what indicator is the one at the bottom of your chart? And please can you post it? Cheers!

best way to trade this system is to do it yourself without indicator

Looks like this thread has died.

I just stumbled upon Wolfe Waves a few months ago and have come to really enjoy trading them. IMHO, a simple yet powerful method.

As member "GnWFx" pointed out in the beginning of this thread, I also like to use the FIB extensions resulting for line 3-4. I find that more often than not, the price reversal takes place at one of these 5 extensions: 113.0, 127.2, 141.4, 161.8, and 200.0. I also use bollinger bands, divergence, and previous S/R as filters for entry.

I noticed that no one mentioned the "sweet zone" which I find adds another productive element to this method (especially for WWs that don't exhibit very good symmetry)

Hopefully more traders will help to revive this thread.

Imho, here is a classic WW on the 4H EG chart

Cheers and safe trading to all

See how this one plays out

Note again the 141.4 FIB ext of line 3-4 (seems to be a popular reversal point)

Smaller wave TP target completion to the pip, then immediate rejection.
