I'm out now, +11 and a bit, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this go on a way now but I don't like to hang around to long

A Big Thank You Trader Dale.This is the first time I took a trade based on your level caused all the 4 pairs I normally do not trade.The euro news almost hit my
stop loss.

the usdjpy right now was a 'gamble'
why:
1) Theory says if the level has been tested(even by 1 pip), dont trade it anymore
2) Practical: some went ahead because this was considered an 'exception'

any thoughts here please ?

Fully agree with you.
It played out to be a winner, could have easily gone the other way though.
I stood aside.

I think 118.150 was real support the rest was stop-loss blowing.

these are my reasons, I will hardly ever take a level that has already been tested, but this one was just so heavily weighted in favour of getting something out of it

Congratulations to all who take the usd/jpy trade! It was a very strong level so it was ok to do a little exception and take it. I didn't do an exception so no pips for me this time

Additionally, I don't think if the downward move would have got you your 10 pips then you may want to consider it not tested.
