Hey everyone,

One of the most useful indis Ive found in this thread is the HOLO alerts (gives alert whenever a bar opens in the area of interest, on whatever timeframe the chart for the pair is on). Im wondering if anyone would be interested in modifying it to do the following / code one with the following additions (if possible):

1. Option for detecting and sending alerts on any number of pairs, with either an assigned timeframe for all or assigned timeframe for each (without chart windows for each pair needing to be opened)
2. Option for alert when a new H1 HOLO level is created
3. Option for alert when a new Daily High/Low is created

Option 1. is especially important. I've been having success trading across all the pairs my broker provides (28 standard, 11 exotic, + gold, silver and oil), but I have 42 tabs open on MT4 so I can get alerts on all of them, computer hasn't exactly been running fast (is this an issue for anyone else? lol)

The following wouldn't be bad either:
4. Option for alert when price touches certain pivot level(s)
(S3, mS3, S2, mS2, S1, mS1, DPV, mR1, R1, mR2, R3, mR3, R3)
5. Option for alert when Daily Open level is touched
6. Option for alert when a new Weekly High/Low is created
7. Option for alert when a new H4 HOLO level is created (or other timeframes as well)

If anyone would be interested either reply here or message me. I thought I'd post this here (before PMing coders) since I think a lot of people could find such an indi helpful and not just me.

Hi guys, what did I do wrong please?

Not sure I am qualified to answer your question as to what you did wrong Eve, as I am just as much a novice on this method. But as you can see I got caught in the same or similar trade. It had gotten pips prior to when I got in but my stopped out. Why? Well one big warning flag as I started out on the 5 min. I went back to the 1 hr. and price was clearly above yesterday's high, and extreme caution is warranted. Thus the results. I had not checked that prior. It looks like a carry over from yesterday's Fed and strong dollar reaction. Also across all JPY pair much momentum against it, pretty clear weakness.

Also today affecting the GBP, we are ahead of the big rate decision there, like the Fed yesterday, so that may set off fireworks later that pair, it is fairly stagnant.

Thank hal7, I do not watch M5, M15 only, therefore I was not careful enough. I remembered too late that TooSlow says if another makes a higher high, higher high higher high - means do not enter ...

USDJPY - eight green candles in row,price over 100 pips above yesterday high. People here call it freight train.


EURUSD was fine:

By the same token. I did not take this trade but similar conditions as the JPY trade. Above yesterday's high also and it was certainly marching north. It got about 45 pips on this trade had you pulled the trigger. Not always clear cut when to sit it out, it might take some time to develop that. And coming up to the rate decision in minutes. The USD continues to roar but it will eventually turn.
