Thanks for the detailed answer. I understand So far I've gone through about 5 years of back testing using that software. It seems pretty hard to find those textbook entries that fxgroup posts. I get no more than 1 good entry every 2-3 months. I feel like there is still so much I don't see... Like when a big trend starts I usually miss it I'd love to see how you and fxgroup stay organized and keep track of up coming trades possibilities

This is why, like for other famous trading methods (i.e. trend following on daily timeframe), you are meant to keep a number of securities under scrutiny.

I have about 30 currency pairs, a couple of indexes and commodities and even large cap shares CFDs.

With all that stuff, even being decently picky, you get a trade every about 3 days. Considering most trades last more than 3 days, you'll actually have to cherry pick the best setups because your account won't be able to hold many open trades at the same time.

Yes Nbr, this scenario it's ok , the P is in a strong downtrend. But WPD?? In M chart??W and D? This downtrend loosing power. This is not mean the P can't go to your TG but only that you have to be careful.
The RM in W chart, watching in D chart possible be H&S. Not sure but possible ,you have to consider this.
In D chart have a RM that give us a new level of S.

The M candle closed as PB bearish...as the P is within RM, the PB's tail tells us that the P get out of the RM and turned back. When the P turns back in bearish direction within the RM ,the old R will act again as R in order to push the P lower first to RM's ML and then to its S....

The safiest way to trade a bullish / bearish H&S is to trade the NL's confirmation as S / R...here is an exemple I keep on my radar. In this case the P was so kind to ofer me a well delimited RM just below the NL as an alternative in case it is not possibile to sell it at the NL level...all I have to di is waiting for sellers information at the RM R or waiting for the P to close below the RM and its confirmation as R

Hi FxGroup, You are my hero. I have been hooked with this thread ever since i read it first and I'm so glad that you have returned. . I have kept revisiting the forum for your return.

Can you please confirm with me. When a bar breaks through a range market resistance level on a higher time frame. Do i have to wait for a ret on the same time frame before i start looking for daily ret?
Many Thanks.

Hi fxgrad and thanks for your kind words.

We have 2 very important concepts:

Information= what the P is tells us when the higher TF close above / below an important level ( in that case the S / R of a RM ) and we understand that the buyers / sellers are in RM's control

Confirmation= when we have the D PA ONLY AFTER the higher TF information.

Any other trade based directly on D without higher TF information, has a higher risk...I do not say that at some level or in some situations we can not do it, but we have to be aware of the risk and most of all we have to adapt our MM to given circumstances.

Look at the chart below where the W candles close above the level as buyers INFORMATION and 2 weeks after the P gives us the D BUOB as CONFIRMATION

Fantastic FxGroup! Thanks for the explanation. I was confusing myself because i would see chart examples with the breatkout followed by a ret on the same time frame before entering but you have made it clear. Thanks.

I have added some levels and boxes in red in the attached pic below to your original post. Can you tell me if i am finding potential areas of breakout and ret correctly?

Great, thanks Fxgroup! I have another question.
When looking for important levels. Is it a good idea to look back at history and draw the level from the very first reversal/price reaction causing for all other price to fluctuate from or do you analyse how the price reacted through out the chart and make a decision from where the price reacted the most?
