Meet Horizon Break: An EA based on a simple price action move assumption. Every range tends to break, either up or down.
Let's see how we can surf that wave.

You will find a short PDF Manual down the post, please note that the tests I've ran were mostly on AUDCAD/AUDUSD/USDCAD, pairs that I trade and like the most.

I'm looking for breakout / swing traders that would be willing to give a shot and help me improve the EA.
Feel free to run extended backtests with tweaked sets and share your results!

Is there some preferred timeframe, or can it run on any TF ?

Correction. Not limit orders, but stop orders. Big difference.

Don't want to discourage you but stop orders fail at times of high volatility and spreads widening.

Both. The "Reverse" mode switch stops for limit orders.
But FYI this is not a high volatility scalper or a news straddler.. Add a spread filter and your post is pointless

Keops is another project strictly mathematics/grid oriented.
This thread won't deal with it, but I can give you a beta version.

As long as I've seen it work, M1 is good for the reverse strategy (reversion towards the pivot), whereas higher TFs are better for the main strategy. M5 with HiLos calculated on more than 48 periods (4h) and a 12 periods shift (1h) is a good starting point.
Longer TFS are of course good. Just remember to adapt your SL and your trade expiration accordingly!

hi! I wish backtest this Ea from 2014 to now, but I can't because back test starts from November 2016. Why?
