An ideal test will make a lower low from the previous bar, but if it doesn't make a lower low it's called a "hidden test" bar

A hidden test closes up instead of down.

Up thrusts and Shakeouts are the same, if an up thrust closes down it is called hidden up thrust.

You have to be careful with them, the only reason why I traded the hidden test was because it was back into the same area as that NS.

Hm thats a nice concept also.. thought it was hidden because it doesnt make a lower low, but your definition makes sense, ty for info

Yeah I used a clear chart without any levels.

Sometimes I throw levels on my charts, but honestly I focus more on PA than the levels. Coincidentally that test was at the 0% level of the previous days HV H1 bar.

What's your purpose for trading?

Is your purpose to be right? To make 98% of your trades winning trades? To become a worldwide authority on one, especially complex way of trading?

I'm sure you're a great trader and are entirely welcome to share your opinion but i'm not sure I understand the position it's coming from. It seems to be predicated on an assumption that VSA traders are either not profitable, not profitable enough or not as profitable as they could be. Yet, there are probably people out there using an incredible basic system with a couple of indicators, who are making more money than many Wyckoff traders are - and VSA traders for that. You have to tell us what problem you're solving, before people will see whether more study is the answer.

There are incredibly simple VSA entries that will work 7/10 times in a range, any point of the range, day in and out. You only need study for about an hour to learn them, how to spot them and start trading them. Study 10 pairs and you'll get 10 or so setups in a day. It's not complicated and if you manage them well, you'll making a killing.

Nobody needs anything more than that in reality. 90% of trading is in the mind, not in chart analysis. You can study until you're 80 but if you don't free the mind, you're simply wasting your time.

Well, reaaly can't understand how to read right this situation.

One side i see suply coming in, but it can be absorbing volume since we are near top. We see ND - isn't it nice place to buy?
And this shakeout doesn't work..

A ND is the exact opposite of a NS. You could've have taken the given example on the previous page and just reversed it.

You read the situation correctly, you saw the weakness.

A NS is testing the market for supply, they can and will fail. In fact a failed test is a sign of weakness. Did you notice how price never touched the high of the NS?

As for the shakeout it's not a shakeout. A shakeout is designed to take out weak holders, meaning that for the traders who saw the initial strength come in and went long, the shakeout is meant to shake them out of their positions and catch their stops. Also a shakeout will be at the lows, how is this shakeout at the lows? How is it shaking out people and catching their stops?

good one Hawkins but your answer is not complete, I mean it is not good to consider every bar that pops up above previous bar's close with volume less than the previous two bars as a ND.

Ok can anyone tell me if a no-demand can be on a downbar or not? or a no-demand can only be on up-bars?
