I, too, have an EA I would like to put on an offline chart, simply changing the OnTick to something else, didn't work (and I have poor knowledge at MQ4 to begin with).
not sure what you are asking ... but if you will make renko EA, that is way:
depends on TF offline chart ... if your name of offline chart is EURUSDM2, that means you need timeframe define into this EA with number 2 ...
example: get price from 1 closed renko candle on chart EURUSDM2 ...
double varClose1=iClose("EURUSD",2,1);
or indicator example:
double maPrice1=iMA("EURUSD",2,myPeriod,0,myMethod,PRICE_CLOSE,1);
you need everywhere in code define this TF ... that means, you can not use something like Close[3], because thats array from current TF (where is EA placed) ...
now when you are testing this with tester, you can chose M1 and EA is tested on period 2 (your offline chart) ...
for EURUSDM2, instead of TF 2 you can use Period(), like:
double varClose1=iClose("EURUSD",Period(),1);
but with that way forget on tester ...
