Did you Try 30 Min TF? I'm testing and i'm getting better results in relation of Profit/DD.

Usually 1,8% Per day Of Return on Capital, at least for me it's really amazing results, EA Works very good!
@fegeme: you don't understand this trading

- for one pair I have 2 Charts one for buy one for sell only
so I can work with individual settings for each site if I want

genius what ??

So you are hedging your orders? But it only works with MA or does it work also wit BB?

As much as I understand your strategy...you have so multiple and complex concepts that I don't know if it's possible to integrate them in a EA, nevertheless thank you very much for your insights...they gave me a lot of matter to think of...

agree, might not be easy for an EA.

also, for simplify a bit, i omitted few points. to boost a bit probability of the trade/set outcome.
there is always, always another trade!!

got to agree, this is pretty much a pray and wait system. If its ranging then you get your money, if the market is moved by strong move, chances are your against trend orders will stack with larger lots. Only way for me to work this around is apply a hedge early before the lot increases too much and hopefully recover within my desire profit/ minimal loss i can accept. If not, you just have to pull the trigger asap when you see the price isn't going to retrace enough to make your basket of trades profitable.

but still, the EA is reasonably profitable if you apply in the right time range. This is trading right, you got to learn and adapt to the market.

you need to combine this ea with manual trading. don't leave it 24h without supervision. when you see a trend about to change, or just started, you need to switch the options only sell/buy regularly.

the "input" in the EA for AllowSell/AllowBuy wasn't enough to do this. so i also change the setting in the "common" tab. see below picture. ok, hope it works.

i did the same with what ghostbiker do. open two different chart of one pair and same timeframe, but different option to sell/buy only.

the reason i did this was due to the technical limitations i've met before (also with another martingale ea's), when it won't switch automatically when the trend change. i guess this is quite a tricky stuff for any ea's to do, especially with martingale that keep going on one direction.

it wasn't about hedging, really. but just to get prepared as the trend started to change. when the downtrend just getting started, i switched off the other chart, and started to close my buying positions (in profit).

the other reason was just to grab a little bit of profits whether sell/buy during ranging markets which keep going up and down in tight range. now the concept might become closer to the grids ea's in tight range. but still, these stuff need supervision.

i've tried some trades with similar ea concepts (check this old swb grid thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=235750 ). and my conclusion was, that we couldn't leave the ea's to do the decision 24h for us, even when there is already many indicators input in there (ema, ma, bb, rsi, stoch, cog, or anything...).

sometimes the price just keep bouncing around the points of the indicators. and for martingale ea's which is set to one direction, this is a huge risk.

so, i guess our sleepy eyes still becoming a big help to get the ea's jobs done well...

Yes...valid point...forgot to mention that if you use this EA on 4h time frame or higher it's a lot safer...but then profitability drops drastically. Take this example below on eur/usd monthly chart. Maybe you don't need an EA if you're wating for this kind of signals. Nevertheless this EA based on grid/martingale has the merit of allows to define a way of an entry point using our favorites indicators and instead of using a Sl, if the trade goes wrong it tries to average the losing trades till they became profitable. Once again MM is very important and it's not a set and forget system.

Hi, I tested this expert advisor and I must say that the basic idea is very good but unfortunately a serious problem. I tested it on eur / usd at various time frames with defoult settings. It works really well in market range, but in times of strong trend, you risk burning your account if it is small (1.000), or remain for years locked in a cycle of an average account (10,000). To understand try to test it on eur / usd, starting from 01/01/2014. In my opinion, we should put in strong trend, a cycle output. For example an equity stop or a stop and reverse.
I backtested it at AUDUSD M1 chart, and i got a journal said "stop because of stop out", i don't know why, is there something wrong with my setting?

test from 2013 to the end of 2014 also not bad H1, BB. I´d try to test H4 and see the results.

why you test not 2015 and 2016 ?? we are not now in 2013 or 2014, the market change

ghost I did it already (see the previous pages), the results was good, but some was saying that the 2015/16 market was in range and this EA would crash in trendy years..like 2014/15. That´s why I went back a bit.

for sure not, but it is just indicative that it was working in range and trend years with the exactly same settings. So, it should work even better adapting the settings to the market mood. Im also testing EUR/CHF in the same way. BTW the H4 was also good, as someone said less DD but of course less gains too.

ef got me afraid after the 2015 big move.... no trust. regarding the variable to change for the market change
wich are the variable to optimize and that to leave fixed? so it can be optimized every year or 4 or 5 monts?
