been looking for a thread like this, if more of us can report potential Wyckoff phases and events the easier trading will be, I find locating them very time consuming, so, nice one!!
Heres my offering;
AUDCAD
General trend = long
Longer time frame = H1 seems to be in accumulation (general reduction in volume across the latter part of the TR)
TR from 28/9/16 to present
Spring and three low test points seen
PnF (Point and Figure) estimated upside target taken 12/10/16 = 1.017 giving an approx 1300 pip move from present location (1.00365) this will of course have increased by now. I suspect the will be in intermediate TR starting with a Selling Climax at approx 1.0115 (low of the small TR of 27/9/16 to 28/9/16 )
I think its preparing for a fall to LPS then on to SOS, time will tell..
First Take Profit at 1.0115 still gives nearly 800 pips from present location

This has now closed making 1500 pips from low of 17/10/16.
Didnt quite reach the full PnF target but exceeded my initial Take Profit level, more than happy with that. Bit of a hairy ride today with the CAD economic news, just wish i had added another long at todays bottom! The news resulted in a large unwarranted move down (presume to take out stops) then a big move up.
As it happens, the target height (Z) matches almost exactly the gain from low to high of today!
If there are no takers here for sensibly recording such potential moves I will be looking to start new thread, let me know..

I'm interested in a topic just for Wyckoff, although I just started to study his techniques for the past month or so. Not sure how much I can add really. Let me know if you create the topic though. I would like to participate on it.

He seems to use futures in the video, not sure how it would work with Forex. I heard the volume isn't very accurate. How do you deal with that exactly?

He has proprietary indicator for sale....otherwise you cannot use his method.

I'm aware of that. I checked his website. Do you think its possible to acquire similar information from other indicators? Volume for example? I never really used it because I never really understood it. I did use when I was trading stocks, but in forex I just cant find reliable patterns, but that could be just my newbie eyes.

That is s why I think we should create a Wyckoff topic here to exchange ideas and share some setups if we spot them.

I already use a trading plan I created based on Wyckoff methodology which gives me ok results. However, most often then not I cut my winners short, and get stopped by a few pips.
I think if I can identify the range of accumulation and distribution a little better I would increase my RR and things would work out. Again, I'm just offering my newbie 2 cents.

During mark up and down I just look for simple patterns and trade the breakout in the trend direction. That works great.

Yes, seen this big mike video couple of times, at least v good. Read DW's book. To understand waves is good but very difficult to trade on basis of it in practice. Like video points out, just because there is a lot of cumulative volume in one direction does not mean that is the stronger side, buying can be disguised as selling and visa versa, bag holding etc etc all makes for a difficult chart read. However I do use a wies wave indicator
Regarding volume, I should not worry about whether its actual or tick as long as you don't try and compare it across different brokers, may be different from one broker to the next but the relative heights will look same/ similar. You are comparing the volume bar with the price action and how that relates to adjacent bars or recent tests.
DWs wave indicator is about $500, you can get one v similar for $0!. I also use mathtrader7 volume indicator, has interesting twist option with that one to look at. "Volume per leg" and "volume/bar/leg". When you put math traders indicator on twice to show each type of leg measurement it shows easily where insiders are pushing price around on minimal volume. When I get back home Sunday will send links and show you what I mean. I want to try and get someone to alter math traders indicator to give a "factor" so may be even easier to get reports on where this is happening.
There is another chap interested in Wyckoff events reporting, he (think it's he but is called msmarple!) Trades other than forex. To be honest, as long as it makes money and risk can be managed I ant to bothered.

No. waves are created as cumulative volume...so such indicator has to be made...it is based on
Wyckoff.

I found EA in mql5 it seems that they are trading with this strategy, the name is Wyckoff price action.

Do you think it's the same as this strategy and profitable?
