{quote} I actually have two brokers. One with the stupid prefix that you mentioned and another one that does not. I tried adding the prefix eurusde and tried changing it to usdjpye but to no avail. I have also tried it on another computer of mine but i'm still receiving this message. 2016.11.10 12:29:18.349 AgilityTrader3.03 USDJPYe,H1: zero divide in 'AgilityTrader3.mq4' (1678,135) Seems like a really cool software if I could get it to work.
Ignored
I haven't come across this problem before. Have you used the latest update? That should address your zero divide error.

I do note that all your codes have an "e" after the code so you will definitely have to alter the eurusd code in the first line of user inputs. It should work then. Otherwise advise me of your demo broker and I will try this end.

EDIT - Here is the problem - The EA converts all lower case inputs to uppercase for uniformality as 99% of Brokers use this convention. The solution is PM me with your email address and I will provide a one off solution for you which will require that you input exactly as your broker specifies the code. I do note you are operating with a very low res display setting and this is causing some overflow on your inputs panel. If you can increase the resolution that will fix the display problem. Enclosed is how the display should appear.

(the lower case convention for every input is to simplify inputs and I really do not want to enforce a convention of exact inputs for codes on everybody)

Got a step further thanks to your new update

Numbers are out but no results. This is using original preset.

You haven't added the dot "." to the end of the code as this is another Broker with "stupid" codes.

You will need minimum of $500 equity if you are using 2% of equity otherwise wager will fall below .01 units which is the minimum on standard accounts. You could alternatively use a fixed lot size or reduce your percentage from 2%. (decimal points are OK)

If you can increase your display resolution, you will eliminate the overlap on the inputs.

Thank you ! It's working now. I did not even notice that the pairings had a dot at the end. Finally can test the software out. Thanks for all the help.

My display resolution is already at the highest 1920X1080. I have had this problem with many other indicators already but at least the software is working

Could be that you have changed the font size from normal to larger.

Anywhere you like. It is completely independant of MT4.

I have just uploaded a video on the advanced features of Agility Trader 3 to Post #1. Also available is a collection of the set files and user indicators discussed in the video.

IMPORTANT - If you have already downloaded AgilityTrader3.05Install please do so again because I had to make a number of adjustments after the original upload.

I have became aware of a potential problem using index symbols.

As an example if using Dow Jones 30, the pip value is 1 whereas using the FTSE the pip value is .1, so I have had to make an adjustment if you are used to specifying TP and SL as a number index units because 30 pips on the FTSE is actually only 3 Index Units whereas 30 pips on the Dow is 30 Index Units. Technically the pip values are correct but if you are used, as I am, to specifying your SL and TP as a number of index units, I had to make changes in the program for such a scenario.

With this in mind I have made an amendment to the EA to allow you to continue to express your TP and SL as a number of Index units and corrected an omission of moving average strategy calculations.

In addition I have included extra set files in the installation sub directory as well as a number of amendments. The companion program has been amended to correctly update the bottom panel when using the "+" and "-" buttons. Updated examples in User Indicators and Advanced Features.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the new version.

I think you missed incorporating HEINKEN ASHI among the standard indicators which is required in a strong strategy i am using manually now.

Hope my request would be considered as soon as possible.

Thank you.
MM

I have previously included Heiken Ashi (not Heinken) in earlier versions but there is little demand so I don't intend to re-introduce it.

The above poster is quite correct anyway. Just a matter of reading the required buffer(s).

I have enclose a comprehensive example of an advanced application using the highest and lowest values within a defined time period (htm and ltm) and have enclosed the set file. I would suggest amending the times to suit a significant time such as London Open or NY Open. Just remember that the times are expressed as MT4 times.

This set file includes

  1. A specific time period to set high and low boundaries
  2. The end time for opening trades
  3. The expiration time for closing trades

It is based on a 40 min time period after exchange open to set the boundaries and allowing the trade to take place up to a specified time (normally I would allow only 40 mins (I needed to extend this to get the sample) and setting an expiration time for closing of trades still open (normally about 1:40 after exchange open but I allowed the trade to run to watch the effect for illustration).

The trade closed about 1 min after the snapshot being the expiration time as per the set file.

Don't forget to rename the .txt file to .set
