Well, I decided to try Mehdi343 Method 1 overnight (EST) and it did produce some great profits across 3 platforms with more Profits than Losses. I was very impressed. I just wished I would have started using his technique earlier

Moonie is back!! Finished my work contract so now free to get back into trading.

Started with a trade on cable last night using the H1 method. 50 pip TP reached earlier.

Hi Moonie, welcome back!

I've been trying to mimic your approach. I know why you require the 50 pips room to the ATR level but it seems like that's somewhat arbitrary based on the time of the day and where you are in the world as it resets each 24 hours. I assume you added that rule after finding days with pairs that had moved a lot didn't offer as high a win rate.

Your in the UK so I think you often start trading sooner after the "end of the previous day which for me is 5:00 EST. I'm in the US so my "day" starts later (I think). Any thoughts on this?????.....if I even made sense.

Hi Dr24, my ATR resets at 22:00 GMT which I avoid trading as the spreads go crazy as the market resets. I often miss the London open so I tend to concentrate on the US open especially if there is a reversal of the London session. I will continue to check into the Asian session and will leave a trade on overnight as long as I can move my stop to +5 pips (free trade).

Because you forgot to look at 200 MA. You just opened without considering that we do not open position when market is in a range. Moreover , if you used higher time frame , you did not face this problem.
