If you want to keep it to a simple scalp you can aide 5 to 12 pip and SL not bigger than 8, better placed with a high/low, eventually use a trail around 3 pip. Avoid big spread pairs. If you like aide more pips it should be applied more filters. You find all info in the pages before.

Update for GOLD today Tuesday the 1st Nov.
Gold strength is continuing in its bullish move on daily time frame.
USD dropping and joined with double-GAP. Now we see pips!

I hope this live journey was good illustration for everybody how the indicator works.

Had a nice long on NZDCHF. After a big drop, price reached a H4 DZ and i traded the pullback for a while.
With a litle help from the NZD news it turned out to be a nice winner.
Bernhard created an upgrade wich shows us multiple timeframes of the CSstrength28 on one screen to have a quick "bigger picture" view.
Thanks for that Bernhard.

Thank you Bernhard, I do use a different system, a sma cross, is it allowed to post some charts with 2 sma's?

But I do use the basic rules you set for using the strength indicator, I use it as a extra confluence before entering a possible setup.

I do not care for sma's. If sma trading were profitabe many EAs would have been build but it is not that simple. What you do with all the false signals sma's give when price is consolidated?
On the other side if there is a double-GAP then sma's will aligne because there is movement with a reason. You might use the sma as entry levels to go in with small pullbacks.
But reading price action with highs and lows or supply/demand do much better job and you can optimize your RR. You can scale down until m1 if you need.

Yes, I always look for an entry in the bigger context and higher timeframes, the sma cross would be a signal to enter. I would never purely trade on a cross alone, like you said, in consolidation it would be killing for my account.
For my profit target, I like to trade toward the higher timeframe supply or demand level, what also could provide a good entry of course.
I also like to see some space toward my take profit, not to many minor supply an demand levels between my entry and target.

This all backed up with the relative strength of weakness of the currencies involved.

So far this combination is working great
