Dislikedi gradually figured out how to make money, but not big money. u can not make big money without big money in market. overleverage won't bring u big money, don't even think about it, it can only ruin ur wealth and health. if u have ten grand, don't try to double ur capital by one year. if u put hundred grand in market, fifty percent return is very challenging. i am not saying u ca never make it, what i am trying to say is that u can't keep doing like that for long. there is no such thing as excessive profit anyway,i start this thread as a begining....Ignored
Disliked{quote} with seven years tears and sweat, i don't envy anymore those forex traders who can double the account monthly. i don't know how they survive like that, but i do know i am not capable of doing so. i had $45,000 starting capital one year ago. my trade lot size was $5000, only 0.05 standard lotsize. the max size i ever used is $50,000, only 0.5 standard lot. now my capital is $62,000, 35% return. i still don't want to raise my trading size because i feel very comfortable with what i was doing before. i don't see any reason i should change ....Ignored
Disliked{quote} so you had a 35% return during that 1 year period, and what percentage drawdown / floating drawdown did you have during that same 1 year period, about 10% ?Ignored
Disliked{quote} good question, MTX. actually, it's the key question we should concern everyday. i remember the biggest floating loss was around five thounsand dollars when i shorted SPX 500 in july. i stopped trading for three month bcoz of this mistake. i knew my postion was safe, so i only reduced postion size when possible. i just did no expect that spx can stay bullshit so freaking long. {image} {image}Ignored
