Totally agree with you, those test i did are more stress test to know up to how much could be done, the million dolar result are using up to 1000 lots

As i wrote before, the main idea now is create less time lapse setups for 2 weeks with good tick data, and start forward demo, i found this conditions that allow this kind of [promising strategy* on last 24 hours and lot has to be done, as for now, having stress results that are potentially good, is enough to start working harder on this.

Good if it works. From years of personal experience, I just wanna say there is nothing like jackpot strategy.

Soon he'll realize there is no free money. You need to work manually to make money in money markets.

i totally agree, but for manually you cant do intraday profitable, only long therm can be as allways spread ends up killing your account. So for manually i need 200k so i can see profits that are good for myself doing medium long therm weekly or monthly trades of 1 or 2 lots for all that equity, this way i could see profits real profits that can mean sometihng if is a 2k or 5k after a month mean soemthing, not like current that i trade less than 2 to 5k accounts manually anddi if using 002 to 005 i see like $100- $500 every month or end up most of times washing my account doing intraday or scalping, so to see profits wich count, that are enough for me to avoid stay some weeks too early in the morning sharp to see news outcome, euro markets in my country open at 3am i am looking to create this strategy AUTO

. So yes, totally agree with and ther eis nothing bad i think in even trying to create this and take the best out of it to win markets.

I just ended my first tick backtest using tickstory-dukascopy data looking for next week setups i will use. Will only backtest once each time i do to avoid any repetition of results. The results give up to the double of this setup i have chosen, but i like this one because of the low DD of less than 1% and a profitability of 4% on a $1000 account starting basis for 2 weeks using only 0.01 lots.

In my forward tests i will look to use those setups for all timeframes only for eurusd as starter in all looking for the lowest DD and a risk reward relationship for each timeframe of around 1:4 (1% dd for 4% profit), 1:3 or 1:2, this way if using 5 tiemframes would be looking to make a potential of 20% profit after 2 weeks for a 5% risk, or 10% every week for 2.5% risk. Maybe will be a lot of orders running simultaneously but also this can enhance to a lower DD of total strategy.

So this is the one i choosed for EURUSD on m1 for next week

just curious
10 month test period,
16 trades, +4% gain...are you sure this is enough sample to be representative of the results?
and if yes, are you happy with the 4% gains over 10 months period?
there is always, always another trade!!

Your curiosity made me courious too, the test setup is for the last dates that appear in the picture 2016.10.17 - 2016.10.29 thats only 2 weeks, now why it shows 3 of january for test __ no idea.. btw im happy with having low dd forward test result of average 5-10% profit per week using all the tf setups together

This is the setup i will use for m5, 1% dd 3% profit 2 weeks setup not 10 month setup

For what im looking on the backtests im performing to setup the forward test, the higher tihe time frame, the less the conditions to finding entrys for an intraday or intraweek basis, so from m30 - h4 will use 1 month backtests setup, and in case 4h gives 1 or 2 trades for the test will use 2 or 3 month setup untill having a minimum of 6 trades for the setup.

Also from all the backtests results i am having, the draw down is not much lower than the initial balance, so most of those bad trades i think will be profits- loss near to initial balance, this is good under my view, to consider at least untill now as safe.

I had ticked the void bad results, unticked at end of that setup, still not bad, profit trades where much more than those on loss, max dd from initial balance for bad setups can be 3% for m15

i had this results for m15 2 weeks, only 2 directed trends, wich is not enough, so will repeat it using 2 month and will do 2 month setups for m15 m30 h1 h4.

If not many trend directions on the results using higher tf, maybe i will use up to m15 only but on 3 diferent pairs for same forward test.

made a fast test of the first nice looking setup, not bad, as main trend was bearish on euro, and dd less than 100 pip for this, now will leave it run for the next 6 hours hope tomorrow have results of this complete one for m15 2 month set

slow down bro you are just in immature testing mode , follow these steps before you dream of starting a signal service.

1) open a demo account, run it for minimum 3 months
2) open a real account, run it for minimum 3 months of trading
3) trade with good results for all these months.
4) attach an account here or post a myfxbook link
5) dont forget to attach a real account no matter micro-mini or standard account

after that come back and tell us your result.

This particular thread isn't even entertaining.
My pet dog (Spot) had an excellent last 6 months trading but it is a secret which i wont disclose but i can show charts..Next week looks very promising and i am open to offers and investors....

Before i read and answer the posts u have done, i want share the following.

i had nice sleep, and while sleeping i dreamed about many ideas. Really, first of all i decided will not use those setups i made because i was like too hurry looking to just start,,, wich is not bad, but after taking rest and awaking full of energy, i realized the following. How to be sure that the setups i make actually work on the next week, is very dificult for this to happen, we can enhance how the past looks but is not easy to find out if what we had setup could or can actually work...

So, i decided devide the setups i was doing in 2 steps.



- First look for profit factor entrys, not taking care of dd because looking for ping pong entrys no tp no sl etc.
- Second look for risk setups for previous setup doing Balance optimization using here sl tp etc but based on prev setup of entrys.


this way is actually working and makes me feel like will work good.

I made allready some tests, looking to setup previous weeks and use those setup on last week,

results look like this:

this way i feel now more safe looking for setups that can actually work on the following week.

What i am not sure is if using only m1 and m5 on 3 or 4 pairs or actually look for longer timeframe setups for the intraweek tests i am looking for, allreday know that longer therm works, but still amount of orders are reduced on 1h 4h etc, and using low 0.01 lot size for them is not very effective do not give much to the total profit we looking for after a week or a month, unless using my super autolot wich enhances everything but risk is too much.



What u think what should be the best for this forward test

- use lower tf wich look good for some pairs

or

- focus in one pair only and add higher lots to higher tf entrys wich will be less orders inside a week?
