{quote} Hello, Abokwaik Have you planned to manage a MTF version of the LVC indicator? Say, the indicator can generate the signals from the higher TF while trading the lower ones. Best D.P.

Will that be through a dashboard or plots on the lower tf chart ?

No, it is not.
I will give you a picture. Look at it.
This is the 1 min TF though.
But there are the 3min Close bars and 15min OHLC candles shown on the chart.
The idea is that the indicator should take information from 15 Min, for example, and picture it on the lower TF, for example, 1 min.

Will there be 1 higher tf or more ?

If more we need to color/size code each differently.

So, for example, you will apply the indicator on an M1 chart, and set higher tf inputs to M15, M30, H1, and the indi shows LVC for these higher tfs on M1 chart with different colors/sizes.

But is that necessary ? As you can simply switch to another tf and switch back to original tf, without loosing printed LVCs.

You know we are mostly using LVCs as target points (although I started to use the some of the closed ones as entry points also).

I understand your question being on the side of programming the stuff. And I undestand that could be difficult enough to make it. But the best solution is when the TF should be different on your choise.

Yes, I meant this.
Why? because of switching TFs is troublesome.

This argument could be taken into consideration.

You might be right about switching the TFs. But personally, I could say, if you are at the 1MIn TF and would like to switch it, say, to 15 Min, it can take much time, recalculating prices.

I have been using this indicator for the last month, it is really a good indicator, sometimes it is spot on,
have a feeling this would also work great as an entry indicator, I was wondering if you could add that feature?
it would be great if it paints the arrows as soon it found a Low volume candle,
maybe it could be made into a complete strategy with entry and exit,
Bulls are stupid Animals!especially when Im short!

If you changed this strategy to indicate HIGH volume instead. Would that be a loosing strategy? Why doesn't this LVC indicator do what it's supposed to do? It's supposed to show low volume but it's not. It's some other rubbish logic behind it.

like your threads, have been following a couple of them now and am using your LVC indicator as a useful helper..

Wondering if you can help me.
I am after an indicator that can sum volume for particular selected adjacent bars. I know there are leg volume indicators out there and Weiss wave etc but i am looking for something that can sum specific adjacent volume bars, ie may be two dozen bars in a specific trading range (for comparison purposes) perhaps across the top or bottom of the range not related to "zigzag".
I am thinking it would be something like the trend line tool. Obviously with the trend line tool (with ray facility switched off) you can drag it and it will automatically show number of time periods past (left to right) and number of pips (up/down) but would it also be able to sum volume for the bars it encapsulates left to right?
Any feedback appreciated, apologies if this is not the place to raise this. rgds Paul

To bad there is no EA.
Btw, thank you very much for sharing the idea because here are many of those who think if they share a good idea the markets will close and he cant win anymore. Respect.
If someone can modify the indicator if an LVC is filled should disappear because I can not concentrate in what LVC or HVC should I be focused.

Thank you one more time.

Thank you.
I guess a rectangle implementation can be done to achieve that.
I will see if I can do it once I get some free time.

Knowing that LVCs are potential targets not entry points, do you have/suggest an idea on how EA should work using LVCs ?
Again, I will add an option to hide closed LVCs once I get some free time.

Hi Abokwaik

Great indicator!

Have you tried applying similar logic to the large/climactic volume bars and seeing what sort of results come about? I'm not a coder, otherwise I would've tried myself.
