Hello everyone.
It's the weekend. A little rest and relaxation with friends and family
Time to think about the markets and trading, away from the flashing lights of our screens

Here is something i often think about in general and more specifically with each trade.
it is the question, "what type of trader am i?" - basically what suits me best, what am i most comfortable with in terms of trading horizon.

Another way to ask this as it relates to each individual trade is "what type of trade is this?"
Is it a short term, intermediate term or long term trade?

Those are very loosely defined terms for most traders but for the Supply and Demand trader, it is very important to define what these terms mean for the individual trader.
Infact, the definition the S.A.D trader gives to these terms determines the time frames he or she chooses to address the dilemma of market analysis.

If i define myself or my trade as a short term trade or trader, then why bother to look at a monthly chart?
As a long term trade or trader, why look at 5 or 15min charts?

So food for thought for us all.

Define the type of trading that suits you, your current life circumstances and then immerse yourself into that.
Rinse and repeat.

Hello AKT and happy weekend to you.

Just stumbled upon your trade Journal and am looking forward to reading it through. I don't root around FF forums much usually on the weekend if I have a few minutes to spare. Was happy to find this one. Most are to full of "Stuff" for my taste. Looks like we trade similarly and looking forward to what is presented here.

I am both a long term and short term trader. But trade basically the same system for each. There are a few little nuances to help understand the overall market structure.

Looking forward to the weeks ahead.

Do you trade the Supply and Demand methodology as well?
It is the method i use and set up the thread for. I use it for all asset classes and timeframes.

Thank you for sharing your charts.

Seeing that a lot of people new to S.A.D view this thread, i would like to keep it as simple and straightforward to the methodology as possible.
As you know, i am quite puritan in my application of the methodology.

I am aware that there are several S.A.D traders who layer the methodology with other methods and i understand that.
However, in keeping the thread as straightforward and easy to understand for all, i think it better to keep the charts free of too many lines or indicators.
Having the levels in is work enough for most new traders

thank you for sharing your charts on the GBP/USD

A note about the momentum line on your daily chart (i think its your daily chart )

Momentum really is only most useful when it is measured against an opposing higher timeframe level which in your sequence would be the weekly chart
The momentum line on the 240min chart is better drawn a bit to the right as well.

Monthly is high on the curve. I start looking for sell opportunities.

Price is inside weekly SZ. Momentum is up. Trend is still up.

Hello ! An Interesting situation on DXY in my opinion , it's may be usefull in trading on majors pairs.

And I have a stupid question - what type of trading order ( Limit or market ) mostly prefer in S.A.D methodology ?
