Hi all,

I've been trading a long time now. Done all the usual things. Jumping from system to system. Blowing up accounts. Giving money to false gods, etc etc....

Just look at the shit I've posted on here in the past. I daren't look myself because I know I'd be SO embarrassed at the crap I've written!!

But recently I've hit on something very specific.

It gives me a specific time of day to look for trades.

It gives me a very specific setup to look for.

It gives me very good R.

It's easy to do.

And it's easy for me to teach.

The questions for you are:

Does your broker provide a DJIA feed? If not, can you access this data?

Are you willing to follow very specific rules?

Do you want to participate in a friendly thread, where helping each other to be profitable is the only goal?

Are you willing to massage my ego [just joking kids!]?

Can you accept that some days, you might not get a trade?

Finally, I know this is a very typical start to some bullshit thread on FF. But I've learned everything I know about trading from the internet. Now maybe it's time to spread some bullshit of my own............

If you're interested, class begins tomorrow.................................

OK, I'll continue with some acknowledgements to the people who have helped me to get where I am.

First off, Trader [Tom] Dante. I first found Tom here on FF and followed his "Fail Better" thread. I also follow him on Twitter. While I don't use his methods, this guy is the real deal and provides a huge amount of wisdom about trading. He also has his own website and works as a professional trading mentor. In the interests of disclosure, I haven't used any of his paid services.

Secondly, I have to acknowledge ICT - the Inner Circle Trader, AKA Michael Huddleston. He has provided so much incredible material via his own website and YouTube, I owe him a huge debt which I can never repay. Yes, I know he has his haters, and he's just started doing a subscription service, which he said he would NEVER do, but the material he has provided is absolute gold.

A few rules:

1. Be respectful to all participants.

2. If you want to try even slightly different rules, please feel free to do so, but DO NOT post ANYTHING in this thread about it, unless you can provide statistical evidence that it improves things. By that, I mean you must backtest the method as presented and provide a comparative backtest with your amended rules. The backtests MUST have at least 100 trades.

3. This method is time sensitive. It is based around the time immediately following the NY Stock Exchange open. This means 9:30am New York time. If you can't figure out what that equates to in your own local time, or your platform time, then frankly, you shouldn't even be trading. Sorry to be harsh, but I've seen so many threads disintegrate into complete farce, simply because people can't figure this kind of stuff out. Any questions relating to time zones, local time, broker time etc. will be ignored.

4. Remember, the method I will present is just an "edge" in trading. This means that IN THE LONG TERM, it provides a consistently profitable return. I will not share my own statistics. If you want to use this, you should do your own due diligence by doing extensive backtests and forward tests.

5. Everything presented here by myself does not represent investment/trading advice. You act solely by yourself, for yourself. I don't take any responsibility for your actions. I take no responsibility for your winners or your losers.

6. Get involved!! Don't just lurk. Post charts. Ask questions. Help each other!

7. Be patient! I will try to explain the method in clear, precise steps. This takes time. I have a life! I have other things to do, besides sitting here typing all this stuff!! I will TRY to get the methodology explained before the NYSE opens on Monday..............

OK. Here's the first lesson. And I'm certain it's not what you're expecting. And I'm equally certain you will be disappointed..............

The first stage in finding our setup relies on RSI [14] divergence.

If you already know what that is, great! If not, then go and look it up and come back once you fully understand it.

As soon as everyone's up to speed on divergence, we'll start to drill down into how to get that entry, which is based on ICT's work and is where this method truly comes alive.

But, before we do that, I have a question.

Have a look at your DJIA chart [very often listed by the bucket shop brokers as DJ30 or US30 or something similar].

Mark out the NY open time. Study the last few weeks price action around that time. Tell me what you see.

Don't worry if you don't see anything. I will explain it all, but these things are better understood and remembered if there is an element of discovery for you, the reader.

Hope you are not going to post any kind of "bait" trades to promote their subscriptions there.
Sorry just too many "helpful threads there which ends with something like that"
Good luck with your undertaking.

I'm not promoting them or their services. If you want to look them up, that's up to you. I feel it is important to acknowledge people who have helped you. Especially in an endeavour as difficult as trading.

Also, I'm not promoting anything for myself. In fact, I expect this to be a very short thread, because once everyone understands it [and that won't take long at all!], you won't need anything else from me.

I know how difficult this game is. I know how many bullshitters are out there, all peddling their wares, teasing you with their shiny products. So I understand your scepticism. I just want to present something which works, for free, and hopefully help someone to be profitable. In fact, if just one person uses this and is consistently profitable, I will consider the thread to be a success.

Will I ever ask for money from you? Never....................
