One of the things I did during the week is to visit a few threads on FF and see the kind of posts on them. I am really amazed at what people would want fellow traders to take seriously as contributions on a trading forum such as FF. For example, 'Short cable now', 'Go long at 123', 'I pray the price moves up', 'The pair will move to 123', 'Who can tell me if the price would go up next?' etc. Of what value is any of such posts? How are such posts helping members to develop as traders?

novices are looking for the easy way out, but if they stick around for a while, in trading and FF, and keep an open mind and be sharp, diligent, grow, persevere, dedicate themselves to learning...
big money makes big moves and then hides during small money chasing.

Some things I corrected last week:

  1. Keep in mind storyline. Do not try to go against the flow with large lots.
  2. Becareful of going for the last “10 pips” of a move that “is supposed” to come before a major reversal. It may come earlier than expected!
  3. Don’t be cocky about a move working out no matter what happens.
  4. When extreme volatility appears near key areas, something strange may be happening. Beware.

Does the move make sense to me?
I want to stay in moves that make sense to the overall storyline. Generally start to probe with a tiny position.
**Only go to max size for moves that fit an overall theme.**

To those traders still searching for the 'Holy Grail', here's my advice to you. Mastering your system and working on it to make it highly efficient and consistently productive over time is far more important than jumping from one system to another. There is no holy grail or a perfect system anywhere.

Unfortunately, Shiny Object Syndrome (SOS) and Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) run rampant on these trading threads.
I received a compliment for sticking with my systems for hundreds of pages without adding the latest hinky-doodad MTF indicator du jour.
At least you can actually see the price bars and candles on my charts.
When will traders learn the reason they entered a trade has no bearing at all on the outcome of their trades.
Mark Douglass taught that over and over.
His videos are on YouTube.
You can only show people the door.

My advice: if you are serious about trade for a living, do not trade spot forex intraday in conventional (technical, statistical, etc.) method; try futures, stocks, options,etc.

Why? Cross-market volatility study suggests that spot forex is the most volatile financial instrument there is, AKA more black swans. Don't believe me? Do the analysis yourself.

Even without statistical proof but from a rational standpoint, whoever trade long enough in this market knows the batshit crazy impact of surprise announcement can do to an account. ex. USD/CHF

Don't let sunk cost interferes with decision making.

Things I would do today would be different from what I did yesterday which made me feel a failure. so I would be able to correct the mistakes that I have done so they can get better results again.
