i did not see that drop in gbp coming.
i had this chart for a while though.
its gbpaud monthly.
looking to buy after a retrace.

wtf happened with GU ?.... algos... 400-700ish pips in couple of minutes....

An extraordinary 10 per cent flash crash by the British pound has left currency traders baffled about its cause. At 10:07am (AEST) the pound suddenly crashed from $US1.26 against the US dollar to a fresh 30-year low below $US1.14 in a matter of seconds. Over the next 10 minutes the pound regained much of the loss to be trading down a little over 1 per cent lower in early Asian trade. Currency dealers contacted by the ABC this morning were largely at loss to explain what caused the violent move. This drop might have been good for gold. I see 1 hour chart had a bit of a spike while pound dropped.

i wasn't expecting these pendings to be triggered that soon.I woke up and saw this ,and without second thought i closed all of them

a couple of days ago eu set up 1.1100. things can change always. that's why highs are highs and lows are lows. the eu quarter and month and week pointed higher. maybe with this smaller target at 1.1100 it may tire after. the argument of the higher closes could be made on the year toward lows as bearish also. with 3 months left last year's close may be what bears shoot for.
i am not short, so i will side with the q m w and stick with bullish. its nfp friday now. sticking with bullish is free for me. i am not in a eu trade. this nfp if decent will put some additional fed hike pressure. wages are going up and unemployment claims were down. that may make the chances of a rate hike increase. a bunch of this was priced in all week on several pairs. now nfp has to deliver, or the usd may be spring loaded for a dump. it doesn't look that way. but that's why it's not a sure bet.

something the french said. sounds a little counter constructive to me. the price for germany, france and rest of eu to export to uk went up.. the price for uk exports got cheaper for the eu. the price of uk exports got cheaper worldwide. i suspect they will get a boost across all manufacturing to export.

people do it all the time ,i'm pretty sure there will be people holding since 1.3 on eu,i'm the one who is holding shorts on NU since .68

well thats pound pairs deleted from my charts, no longer am i playing with that
40 traders viewing now
