Much of the problems we traders face are self-inflicting. Imho, traders who plan ahead and are focused on using key criteria, conditions and rules in their trading and stick with them are much likely to do far better than those who don't. What do you think?

there are small adjustments and there are large ones for the technical side, the psychological side, mental, and physical/nutritional.

one example in tech is that today, there was powerful trending with more than the typical correlations which were also trending, so rather than not watch as much after London close, I should have continued to watch for more opportunity, after I saw that I was missing, I at least did scalp yen, but I def cud've had more. That's a lesson, goes into journal and maybe an index card.

I have 1500 pages in my journal, this is one half of one.

Hey, guess what, you're question made me think & I've been busy doing other stuff and likely would have not even entered this lesson since I don't tend to write as much as I used to when I had worse issues, and that's what's good about communicating, it gets us to do more, explain more, etc., so I'll have to say thanks for asking!

If you believe in using a top-down approach to trading, may be you'll consider doing a weekly scan and analysis of the pairs on your watch list. This has been a major change to the way I track and stalk the market since the beginning of the year. How about you?

I got much more value from using more S/R zones on my set-up time frames than I was using before. I was having two S/R zones initially but realized the need to get at least double that number because my techniques are fundamentally linked to effectively using S/R zones and trendlines.

Look at any naked chart.
H1.
D1.
W1.
Matters not.
Mark the highest open you see.
Do the same for the lowest open.
Is it obvious?
If not, then price crossing above lowest open is price going up.
Price crossing below highest open is price going down.
Simple.
Profitable.
Repeatable.
We do it everyday.

Noted; a good technique. HOLO, you avoid trading in the middle or take a small profit when market is in the middle of the price range.
