What do you make of your trades so far this week? What are the takeaways or home truths? One of the things I learnt this week is to be alert to juicy trading opportunities while stalking the market. Just yesterday during my market review ahead of my trading session, I saw an opportunity on the NZDUSD. The kiwi did not qualify as a priority pair for the week but I happened by the trading opportunity and had to take it.

I don't know about today yet, but yesterday I shouldn't have traded at all. I know I don't do well in choppy market, and yet I tried to trade anyway and the result is negative.

Hi, m8! This is off topic. The point is to improve daily. Do you need improvement? Do you learn from your trades? That is is the purpose of this thread. How are you developing or improving as a trader? Let us know. Otherwise stop spamming this thread.

Hi KeenPips,

I tend watching the market. Trying to understand it's movement. Search structure. The wrong trades conclusion may only be "at the wrong time in the wrong place".
All the tools offer to us dont forecast the market. This is just another way to explain Fx market on past movements history. Isn't it?

Agreed. Reading and analyzing the markets is central to trading success. Each trader will do themselves a load of good by personally developing the skill to do this and consistent practice and application is important. Indicators won't help any trader, the trader's selection and efficient use of the indicators matters. Trade safe.

studing and practise - milestones of the success in trading.
i compare trading with rally track. i can drive a car, but trying to drive rally car during real competition without special knowledge and training - i'll be out very few seconds after the start. same is here.
most probably 90% newbies blow their accounts quickly.

by the way, some of my friends tell me - you want easy money trading forex - sure, and chicks for free

trading forex is so ufcking easy that i lost ~5 kilos during the first month of trading on real

Agreed. A careless, reckless approach to Forex trading is very dangerous. Money making - and making quick bucks in particular - should never be the priority; not the first concern for any beginner. Having the capital to trade tomorrow as you gain in experience and skill will pay the greatest dividends in the end. Trade safe.

Thank you. I think it's important to be self-aware about what one's trading weaknesses are. It's another matter when you're self-aware and you still make the samn mistakes. Which I do sometimes. Trade safe too.

Hi, m8! You're right. Being self aware is a major step to solve one's weakness. However, even if you still make the same mistake, taking steps not to make it, or to reduce the frequency of making it, is important. So, don't be discouraged lol.

True, self-awareness is only the first stop to changing and growing, and that applies pretty much to everything, not just to Forex trading.

Trading with over leverage are dangerous, you can win big but also can loss very big big..... One thing I learned that when trading we take profits too small and let loss grow too big. In order to avoid big loss, you need to accept your positions are wrong and take loss, don't hope it keep coming back... Remember if you loss 20 pips, it's easier to gain back then -120 pips.

for the past 3 months, my account have been a roller
coaster, you would imagine win 100% in a day and
loss back 100% and then win back 75% ...
Everything happened in one week....

Lesson learned trade small and stop trying to catch every up and down... if you see strong movement not in your favor, take loss right away before it's too late

Better trading results by staying focused on my method and trading.
Not being concerned with what other traders are doing or how much they are making.
Not getting distracted by the latest indicators.
Not caring when some @$$hole leaves a mess on my thread and getting into a protracted argument ( thank you FF for the ignore feature )
All I have to do is repeat the process over and over and over again.
Success is mine.

Agreed, staying focused and trading one's proven trading strategy, system and techniques are important. Getting carried away by, or relying on, other traders' opinions for trading decisions should be avoided as you rightly noted. Green pips.

It would be good to check the previous trades, through which you could identify the mistakes which you made previously and thus you could stop repeating those and improve your trading.
