Dax +86....correction this downtrend has been going on for 5 days.....ABCD/123.......f%$# the fancy indies....re-read the first 10 pages of this thread before it was crushed and died under the weight of over complications and egos...

Glad to see you still kickin' ass Philippine!

The last few weeks were pretty good, I am trying to go with the flow and step aside when price is ranging. Thanks to you, I mostly do that by reading price structure.

WOW , nice to see you all again here.
Still reading thread ( I am around the sad part, page 345 ) I was worried about being late to join the party.
Meanwhile I keep practicing and looking charts.
A bit scared to go real so I will try a bit more on demo till get confidence. How different are the charts moving than pics !!!
Today I jumped in almost the same point than Phill ( two pullbacks ahead ) so it is a good moral injection to me :-)
Working in safe entries yet.

Hi Philippine!
Very good to see some trades from you again, learn a lot from your charts! Have seen the gap, tought that they will close it, BUT... closed again too early, but its ok, pips are pips!

Why you decided to go with Range Bars? I've been looking at them and like them. But what is your rationale to drop renko and trade this way?

I don't really know. I guess Renko was a bit too smooth for my taste. Both works as long as you go with the flow (avoid ranging markets) and shoot for more than 2:1 R:R.

Glad to see thread getting live again Everyday following your posts guys, and even if I did not want to write it - in near future (I hope 2-3 weeks) I will be back on my real account, just in this moment I am re-reading the attached PDFs with Dees posts. 1 PDF a day, again obessed by trading :nerd:

One very important point I have to mention - only after 3/4 year of studying on my own I can see what Dee style is about, now I can understand the idea. It is difficult to explain, but I think its about "You have to pass through all the nonsense, overcomplicated approaches to find a simplicity"

at least in my case...

Dax +49......it was the third leg up on what is becoming a trend a trend reversal. I took this trade on the overnight gap fill in line with the new trend and it quickly grew legs...Just to be clear i do not automatically trade the gap fill...it has to show intent before i commit.

My only 2 trades from the day... one SL, and the other recovered the loss + small profit. Took profits there as started to retrace, and my ultimate goal was to recover my loss, but look how big was the profit potential.

Hi cfabian,

I am still very much learning here but one thing I have picked up is not to try and pick Tops or Bottoms and your losing trade very much looked like a sort of a top. also I see you have a MA on your chart. I also use a colored EMA and I try not to trade against my EMA.

Just my thoughts as I don't know all the reasons why you took that trade or what your trading rules are......so my comments may not be applicable.

Your 2nd trade is much more to my liking as it more in the direction of the trend as per the HH,HL etc. way of looking at it.

I would look at the end result as a good trade .....you recognized the mistake and changed your bias in a heartbeat....ending up in the black. These screen shots are one dimensional but the mental gymnastics you preformed to salvage this were very much 3D'''
