Ema cross indicator?

I am trying to find/create a indicator that will make a "box" pop up (like the knife indicator does when the price crosses the neutral line) when 2 ema's cross. So that I can have multiple pairs up at once but not have to look at them all at once to catch a cross. So if anyone has one or knows where I can learn to create one that would be great.

the problem is when the MAs are close to each other it will produce 100 alerts per minute (while the MAs hug each other). I could probably limit it to one alert per minute. Maybe I'll write it for you when I wake up.

That's true. But, if you only watch a single timeframe, you can get around it by only checking your code once per time period (every 15 minutes, for instance) then setting a flag when the alert goes off. I did this with one of my other alerts. I wasn't successful with the recommended code that's supposed to look for the closing of a bar.

I already have one like that on my charts (thanks for trying) what I'm looking for is one that I can have the charts minimised that will open a seperate box with a statement that the ema's have crossed on a chart so I can go to that chart and maximise it and look at it and see if I have a good signal to open a position.

You could solve this problem by programming to alert only when a candle closes with a MA cross. Besides, you wouldn't want to make the trade until you could confirm that the cross actually was a true/real cross anyway, and to do so, you have to wait for the candle to end...right?
