Prandelli's The Law of Cause And Effect describes the different methods for creating Planetary Lines by determining the correct Ratio for each particular Market and Planet. In the book he illustrates these Planetary Lines by showing charts from the Market Analyst Charting Software - but he does provide explanation for how the lines are created.
I am not sure about the algorithm that is in that MT4 code because in reality, different people have used different methods to map the Planetary Motions to Price Lines on Charts. What this means is, that the code in your MT4 may, or may not match, or be similar to the way Prandelli actually does it. Different people do it slightly different ways, on how to calculate the ratios.
I have to discuss this topic in general terms because since I purchased the book I am under a confidentiality agreement. The book will definitely help you to understand Planetary Lines much better. So it may be worth it to buy this book.
Also - I will mention Prandelli has a 2nd book: Polarity Factor System which does not focus on Planetary lines, but instead focuses on Cycle work - it is another good book to read.
I think both books are good - I currently don't use either method from either book, but the information in both books are definitely related to the Four Sciences that I mention in all my Forum posts.
I hope that provides some useful guidance.

What I think Gann was referring to is the following:
When you follow a commodity and find it planetary influence, its vibration so to speak, you can set the longitude of that planet on a chart.
When price hits that longitude it will give support/resistance. Thats it. It doesn't necessarily mean a change in trend.
Gann used one or more planets to determine the best support and resistance lines.
For instance attached is a picture of the eurusd with the composed planetary lines of mercury, venus and mars.
Everytime price comes near or hits a line, a reaction takes place.
Price meets time on the same value but in the meantime, price is always a function of time.
