what I am saying Jason is that you get payed by fxcm , and I don't , swap trading on exotic pairs is a viable swap trading strategy even with a small account using 1 and 2 cent trades , BROKERS DONT LIKE GIVING MONEY AWAY as I said jason

Hi Aussi,

I have always disclosed I work for FXCM, and while you're right about the potential conflicts of interest that can exist with dealing desk execution, this discussion was originally about using an ECN broker to execute a swap trading strategy. In fact, I would have recommended FXCM's No Dealing Desk (NDD) forex execution to the OP (Amenlo) if he wasn't seeking 100:1 leverage or higher on exotic pairs like USD/TRY and USD/ZAR. For risk management purposes, we have higher margin requirements (lower available leverage) for exotics.

That said, on the NDD model which we provide to all Standard accounts (2k account opening minimum*), FXCM offsets each client order one-for-one with the best prices from competing liquidity providers. The trade sizes being discussed in this thread would easily qualify Avibe for a Standard account and perhaps even an Active Trader account (25k minimum) with FXCM.

Since we don't take the market risk on the other side of client trades on NDD, we don't profit from client losses or lose from client profits (even swap profits). Therefore, FXCM welcomes all trading strategies including swap trading strategies. The question is whether our margin requirements for exotics would be too high for the amount of leverage Avibe wants, which is why I asked him how much equity he would look to use in a real account. :nerd:

hi again that's why I mentioned the 1cent and 2 cent trades better to trade smaller when learning , don't get me wrong I have the up most respect for fxcm Australia

I also teach a few people in qld and vic Jason and as allways I give fxcm demo as the first port of call

Hi guys..here is a final update and final notes...
The highest interest paying pairs are ZAR,RUB,MXN,TRY.
Sadly no brazilian real market
If you gonna go short these pairs, i would recommend hedging by going long on there stock market indexes
i.e Long S40 index, long BorsaInstanbul, Long RTS,Long Mexbol, or BMV
Probability of success 75-90%
DD-40%
have a strong stomach for PnL swings
If anyone has hedge-fund contacts holla at me

Wouldn't the cost of carry (daily finance charges) for going long those stock market indices offset the swap you earn from your forex trades?

IF YOU HELD USD/MXN EUR/MXN USD/ZAR EUR/ZAR BEFORE THE 26TH YOUR SWAPS WOULD HAVE added up long term then after the 26th you would have made a killing off your broker = profit plus swaps i did
