http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=600000 Again proof that retail forex and CFD customers are ripped off in an epic scale by the forex industry.... This industry has no future because there is no productive element in trading currencies and it is a negative sum game.

{quote} the Fallacy to most is that Trading is some game they are entitled to play. When in fact it is quite the opposite. Its difficult to comment without sympathizing with the fact that ive been in all the traps frustrations (i say that so lightly). Its like a flame... its there, you know its hot, but with no knowledge of science you touch it like someone who cuts themselves for pleasure. It's an escape from somewhere else. But did you really do the work? put the time in? Do the research? Did you really earn it? Of course not, because that laziness...

Im not sure if your directing this comment at me, as in, Im frustrated with retail forex, or Im lazy or I didnt put any work in. Thats a really big assumption, for something you shouldnt really be assuming.

My analogy has nothing to do with me, it was more just a way to show, brokers will always be looking to find a way to get in the market of providing a game for the players.

side note: Personally I like to think of myself as a card counter but the casino I play in doesnt have any cameras...............

https://www.leaprate.com/2014/08/fxc...s-4-4-million/ Each retail forex customer that I convince about the forex and CFD fraud by forex brokers costs this industry currently about 712 USD (this is about 20% of the average account balance of forex customers). This gives insights into this industry. They are targeting the retail forex suckers with significant gambling addiction just able to play with a 3500 USD account and rip them off till they have nothing left.... no problem, they are all overleveraged. And...

I think I will get some support from Belgium against the forex industry luring in new retail victims...... and other little milestone.... I guess the French will follow soon.

https://smnweekly.com/2016/08/11/bel...tions-trading/

The forex snake oil salesmen can't legally market the stuff anymore, they will have it a bit harder. The good thing will be there is significant less lying in Belgium thanks to the new marketing ban......which makes the world a little bit better.

Interesting thoughts in this thread. I have been trading the futures market for years oe in reality the real market. Heres the real deal in forex you say i get .09 spread with eurusd really? All fx brokers are market makers they make a market for you based on futures market. In futures they don't have crossed so let's use the euro use example the futures price say it's 1.10 they will quote you 1.106 to 1.127 so that .09 turns out to be alsmost 2 to 3 pips. Second no such thing as ecn it's an illusion it just means they automated there bookmarking algorithm there's no banks to pawn trade to there liquidity is clients in their company. When was the last casino you know home belly up. Here's my advice if you are a real trader trading real money not ten cents a pip but minimum 5 dollars a pip go and run to futures market the field is level brokers only involvement is the access to the real market

Interactive Brokers discontinues leveraged retail forex trading...... a brave decision which is of great value for their image in the long run.

https://www.leaprate.com/2016/08/int...etail-traders/

Thomas Peterffy, I thank you very much for that wise decision clearly in favor of all your customers. Furthermore I support and share your opinion on how patents may slow down the innovation in markets....always move forward faster than your competitors is the best way to grow a business and let the overall economy thrive.

So much to the future of forex....more and more do share my arguments on retails forex. This is how retail forex shrinks in the USA....there is a good reason why this happens....

Well said!

Forex should be considered only as a "sandbox" to experiment in it.

Once a solid startegy is built, a wise trader moves on the to currency Futures markets before his edge is eroded by his broker and before getting discouraged by the deteriorating results due his/her broker's "virtual dealer plug-ins".

If we talk about the title of the topic, I still think that one day Forex cease to exist, because it is basically speculation. One day the world will come into balance, because it can not last forever. But as long as it lasts, I prefer to take my time and use it instead of doing nothing

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.

"Albert Einstein"

Trading is a mind set, a mind set of skills and patience rather than seeing it as a way out or a way to pay the bills it really should be a hobby. One that you enjoy and spend all of your time learning and constantly improving making trades with actual logical decisions rather than just guessing. Trades with no logic or knowledge is just gambling, I am not a profitable trader yet but I am also not gambling my money away anymore...

If losing a trade makes you frustrated and emotional trading is not for you!

In my opinion, Forex will be last long. Because we know our world and how the buying selling transaction done, So market will be always there for forever. So we should focus on earning rather then its future.

You're right.

It's a sad truth, but it's real.

Retail Forex is a scam, a self-perpetuating scam kept alive by the constant supply of desperate, mostly intelligent, suckers hoping to carve their dream life out of the seemingly simple but Alchemist pursuit. Brokers fan the flame to keep the money coming in.

The super traders you've read about and idolise, the money managers, commodity manager and bond fund managers all know that currency speculation is a risky business, that's why they leave it to currency overlay specialists and stick to the assets they specialise in.

The reason currency trading is so captivating to us is a result of the size and activity of the market, it's forever moving and creating deceptive patterns giving the illusion of predictability. Sadly very similar to a that of a series of spins on a roulette wheel.

Trading can still be profitable. There's a huge market out there, but retail forex is probably the most difficult area to succeed in, ironically the area most start off with.

Good luck!

All good but your last point of view is the reason why 90% of FX traders loose their accounts.
