Yes that is a good suggestion and I will implement it in the next update.

New update incorporating 3 changes.

1. ADX - Param3 now used to express Main, D+ or D- option (the companion program can only evaluate the Main value)
2. Sell Entry trade type will now default to Market Sell
3. USDJPY pair calculations correction.

When I put the free registration key, nothing happens. It just close the window and no installation were done, Dave can you please check this. I was using file from your last post

For those who have upgraded to the enhanced version which allows for Custom data, complete data from 1 Jan 2016 is available. Just select Custom Data, cancel the option for File selection and use the displayed date inputs to select the data range required.

Just a heads up on the next version of AgilityTrader - Version3 (within the next 3 months)

I believe this will be the world's first self optimizing, multi instrument EA trading off a single chart with backtesting, optimization and market scanning built into the EA. Until now each EA required it's own chart. Multiple instrument auto trading, backtesting and optimization will be possible from the single EA.

In Summary
1st line - describe the instruments - no limit - all separated by spaces
2nd line - describe the general parameters - starting MagicNum, Mode, Equity, Base Currency, Wager Increase, Straddle Buffer, option to self optimize before auto trading
3rd line - describe the trade type and buy entry conditions -
4th line - describe the buy exit conditions (including Stop Loss and Take Profit)
5th line - describe the trade type and sell entry conditions
6th line - describe the sell exit conditions (including Stop Loss and Take Profit)

Applies to lines 3 to 6 - joins are in bold (only for illustration) - no limit to number of conditions (including user indicators)
Each condition has 14 params - Within x bars, timeframe, reference indic, pm1, pm2, pm3, shift, comparison, timeframe, nominated indic, pm1, pm2, pm3, shift

Buy Entry in the example - Market Trade, Within 1 bar, 5 min timeframe, RSI 14 crosses above 30 and 60 min timeframe RSI 14 less than 50 and avoid Mondays

the EA will have 4 Modes

Backtest
Optimize
Auto Trading
Scan

All output will be on a single chart page - including backtest and optimization results (from auto data or your own)
The Multi Instrument Scan based on your strategies will be groundbreaking.
Adjacent to the Scan, will be action buttons for Discretionary trading
Graphical representations of Backtesting and Optimization will be provided.

No companion program required.

The next big thing will be share CFD trading off MT4.

i must report so far so good with regard to the ea and system i have automated using agility..thank you..however i need a quick clarification with regard to setting time to open trades and not to enter fresh ones after a certain time..say i want with the euro to be opening trades only between 0800hrs to 1700hrs ,tuesdays to fridays only..how would i do this with current agility settings present?..thank you

You need to install from Post #1 and carefully follow the readme.txt included with the installation.

1. Does the upgraded key still cover the version 3 in futures?
2. I can't find the Continuous Straddle option in AgilityTrader2. Did you remove it from the newest version?

1. Version 3 will have an optional upgrade to Multi Instrument but all the features of the Version 2 upgrade will be incorporated in the standard version 3. Users of the Version 2 upgrade will be offered the upgrade for Version 3 by an email offer.

2. Continuous Straddle has always been available. You just configure a set file such as in Post #950 at the top of this page.

I will be releasing a new strategy - Variable Range Breakout later on today which will incorporate a look forward to the design of AgilityTrader3 with multi instrument trading, back testing, optimization and scanning (with manual trading option). Be sure to view the video included.
