I decided to stop at 100 pips as I have to do other things before sleep. The market did go my way, too bad I didn't stay longer as I would have doubled the account or pretty close to double.

I could be entirely wrong and other people might disagree with my analysis but this is what i see when i look at that chart...no indicator- no pointy arrows -- just my eyes.

I am not a professional trader but maybe this will help other people-- rinse and repeat.

I will only do this for this trade.

Got in a sticky situation today... I had short bias and tried to ride the long bus to the short entry, I was half right in my sentiment but started selling a little too soon.

I experienced around 15% draw down but that was profit money so I watched it closely and did some rescue operations.

GBP/JPY ended up being a bloody battlefield. --Bad decision from the general -- Lesson learned.

EUR/JPY My sell entries were too premature, got it right in the end.

+120pips +33.6% Done for today.

I messed up today and had to work to save my capital.

I had 100 % winning trades as of yesterday and wanted to reach 100% account increase with that record (I was so close so why not).

That made me hold onto some bad trades -- all losing trades (of variable pip size) are from today =\

I had to intervene and rescue my capital.

The account reached 111% today on day 4 of trading the account-- not too shabby although no 100% winning record.


Results:

barloc, you seem to be struggling with yourself and not the markets. Have you read ZEN IN THE MARKETS by Edward Toppel? Also to be a true warrior one must accept defeat before starting. Therefore you will not have any expectations other than this may lose. By freeing yourself of expectations, i.e ego, you will become one with the markets and see it as it is not you think it is. Not getting preachy on you, but speaking from a personal point of reference. I've been trading since 2005 and did not have success until 2014. Now I trade strictly price action, no indicators other than price. I accept my loss, know my exit and entry before entering a trade. Good luck to you. 10pm - 3 am and literally zero movement in the EUR/JPY- - Bank Holiday.

I let one trade on break even and I am out.

I agree that I do create attachments to my market direction bias and since I trade without placing any "Stop Losses" the days when I was wrong have been a true battlefield-.. a bloody one.... This is the opposite of being risk averse without using the word greed, I would call it -No pain no gain trading.

My trading approach is entirely different to what is accepted as right by most traders.

My screenshots may have 15 trades in them and you may think "this guy is trigger happy" however I regard that battlefield as one big trade that cannot be lost.

That is my only expectation -- To not lose the battle.

My biggest issue is the timing of my entries, I try to go to sleep at 12 - 1am ( london open is at 12am) so I miss all the beautiful price waves.


I agree that once I am able to reach the Zen state and become truly objective with the charts -- I will reach the highest General rank within the forex army.

Its awesome that you can say that you found success in Forex-- 95% of people cant say that

The most overpowered way to use Money management on days like today is to keep trades open with a stop loss at breakeven and stack orders in the direction of the trend.

I made 91 pips but if i had traded the proper way it would have been over 800pips--- > This is the next lesson for me to master.

Farmed a few more pips. 123 pattern <3.

I tried some pips stacking today...too bad i lost like 100 pips at the start.

I was placing buy/sell limits and the spread would trigger them when there was no breakout.

Will be trading completely manual from now on.

This week I had another epiphany moment-- My whole trading career I tried and to some good extent managed to trade tops and bottoms like a boss . --> check the previous trades, however my trading has evolved to what I am doing now.

Sometimes I use stop losses and sometimes I dont.... It depends on how im feeling the market. I followed the trader Dongsky and his style for a while now with mixed results(good for the most part but fatal when wrong). Dongsky still got the most impressive journal of all time, however I must deviate from his trading style as I am more profitable now. The essence of his journal was feel the market and let it tell you which way it will move, this principle will stay with me forever.

I encourage everyone to read the Scalping the rainbow thread as it made me open my eyes at how simple and easy trading can be. The biggest challenge in trading is conquering our own emotions.

I still remember the high I got when i made my first 1k real dlls, I still get that excitement from time to time and it disrupts my flow and feel of the market, and that feeling happened today so I am stopping right now.

I will take a break from the crazy gbp/jpy lady as I have fallen in love with DE30.

I have been posting at the GBP/JPY thread but today i must write on this journal.

This is a slow and steady account on which my goal is to make it grow exponentially to a size where my usual pip count is equal to some serious $$ ( like those compounding spreadsheets that get posted all the time) - I prefer to count pips and not profit as it keeps me detached and makes it fun like a game.

There were only 2 days were I experienced some serious draw down but nothing close to doing damage to the account.
