yes, these are the 2 main drives and pretty straight forward. Holding UJ long is long and buy on dip is definitely a wise option.

BOJ killed the helicopter money last weekend but doubled the stimulus package today.
FOMC and BOJ Policy in 2 days. I can't wait to hear what they have to say.
USDJPY in focus and bullish if Step hike is confirmed hawkishly in FOMC minutes.

Yes, chatter of doubling the stimulus package today. But don't you find it interesting that USD/JPY 1) only managed to rally ~30 pips, and 2) almost immediately erased those gains within the same hour?

I wonder if the BoJ has set the market's expectations too high...

It's hard to read given the fact we have couple key events coming up in the next 48 hours. I don't see any reason to staying on the long side of UJ since "helicopter money" is no longer an option (and price action confirmed it), and what BOJ and FOMC would do is still a wild card.

Perhaps we are having a sell-on-rally pattern till after the dust settle down from BOJ and FOMC minutes...

Looks like we have one round of JPY CPI number before the BOJ Monetary Minutes.

here is what's going on,

Last night my order was filled below the 105.00 level. I locked in some profit when the price reached 105.50 level couple hours ago. within the next 6 hours, the price will MOVE.

Here is the plan by the time BOJ releases its statement. I don't suggest you trade news (because i don't), but if you do, there are my suggestions,

  1. If BOJ doesn't do anything, UJ will drop.
  2. If BOJ acts, UJ will rally within the first 5-10 minutes.
  3. 10 minutes after, when people start reading into the context, price would either move up or drop depends on what is in the context. This is your time to lock in your profit or get the fuck out.

looks like i was correct on dropping on UJ when BOJ fails to act.

What's happening now,
Couple more key news comes out this week.

  1. GBP Rate Vote
  2. USD NFP

GBP expected to cute
USD will get a increase chance hike in Step if job number turns out not disappointing.

  1. Looking for a SHORT GBPUSD opportunity in August.
  2. Looking for a LONG USDJPY opportunity in August.

weak US GDP, and BOJ are really killing the UJ here.
BOE rate vote tonight and NFP in 3 days.

UJ sticks its head over the 101.00 level and highly possibly setting up a bottom before the BOE and NFP.

08.05.16 Titan G40D5M30 Trade No. 27 - $USDJPY July NFP Trade

USDJPY burst from the 101.00 level on the excellent July NFP number and possible heading towards the 103.00 level as 2016 hike chance increase. Long on USDJPY. that's pretty straight forward.
