Please note that Signals are not so frequent on Yen or Cross Trader, as most of the setups are trading the correlation divergence which does not occur so often.

The TE account reached 8.6 running returns before closing at 4.3.
2 sets of trades each reached over 2% return before reversing and closing at BE or Loss.

Looking at your charts Khalil, i see that opened positons reaches maximum profit within 10 to 20 hours after opening. Maybe it would be useful to control opened trade profit during this period and close deal when our profit hits some defined value (from 50 to 100 pips). Larry Williams used closing trades by exact time in bars and succeeded. Of course This way we are cutting our potential rising profits but do not allow to fall them into loss or BE. Maybe it would give some advantade in long term, needs more live statistics or backtesting.

Hi Abokwaik

Nice EA and system although I just keep one eye on it for now through the results of others here I wanted to suggest something to consider. I will test the system once I have some spare time, maybe over Christmas in a couple of months.

Regarding the missed pips.....

You want to be able to take advantage of the average profit scenario ie. the most common profit reached before becoming a loss. You want to take a partial profit there and then either reduce SL to same value as the profit taken or put SL at BE and then you can further scale out of the rest of the position as it move further in your direction or get stopped out at BE bearing in mind that it wont always go to a big win that is just how it is so one needs to plan for it.Some times we just need to take what we can can and see what happens to the rest of the position that is left open, that way your first TP can try and make up for the losses and keep you kinda at BE in account balance and then you can wait for the big movers to give your account a nice boost.

So as per you trades posted :

From what I see
* EUR / NZD TP 1 could have been at +30 for half the postion size and then your loss was about - 55 pips that would give negative of -25 pips at half the size
* GBP / NZD (First Trade / Long ) TP 1 could have been + 40 and then - the loss of say 70 pips it would give you - 30 at half the size
* GBP / NZD ( Second Trade / Short ) TP 1 at +40( 0.08 ) and half of TP2 at +80 (0.04 so has same value as TP 1 ) , rest at BE or trailing SL
* EUR / GBP TP 1 at +40 and the BE for the rest
* GBP / JPY TP1 at +60 and TP2 at like 90 or waht ever and rest at BE

- This all depends on the average ranges and volatility and I'm sure one can use an average of it to measure it and keep it relevant to whats has happened in the pair in recent weeks. Using ADR of the last 20 daily candles or something of the sort and then calculate how much the pair has already moved in the day and calculate TP 1 at the at the level where the daily range would be reached and then one can try and see what can happen from there as it does break it some of the time.

This would have decreased the loss outcome significantly or might have even given you a slight profit depending on how you calculate what.I know it seems easy after the fact but partial profits is definitely a good option so that you can at least get some of it when it does go your way.

Sorry for the hurried reply and the less than neat work but I have to run.

Great idea and great work and really hope that this can culminate into something really nice as the principal of it is very nice and there are plenty of traders who look at the market similarly but in a manual way. This is nice and solid logic for all to have the same idea and analysis

All the best for now

PS - Please disregard anything I have said if it has been said before or not apart of what your vision is for the EA as I don't like to impose my views to much as you put in the work to get this far fine without my input or opinion

Thank you.

It worth to mention that the EA was not running when EN and GN reached their ultimate profit, otherwise they would've been moved to BE.

EA settings for this week changed to M30 Signal TF, and M5 Entry TF. Other settings the same.
I also reduced the pairs to 14 instead of 20.

Some people asked for an Indicator for the system.
The easiest way to do that is to convert the same EA to an Indicator with an Alert on by and sell signals. Tonight maybe.
No dashboards as I really don't have time for that.

That would be amazing and so good for testing , will it show past signals or only signals as they happen ?

Ea seems to have a bad run. It might be the ranging , do you think reducing your tp will help

Its OK. Still testing, no hurry. Basket reached > 2% today, but my target was 4%.
All trades (4) are still a live, 2 of them already at BE.

I agree though that target might be too high, since the EA is trading on M5.

Thanks for dropping by.

{quote} There are many methods for this: SL below Swing Low for Long, above Sqing High for Short, TP with reward to risk >= 1:1 SL x times the ATR value, TP with reward to risk >= 1:1, where x can range from 1 to 10 depending on the traded tf. SL & TP when either of the component pars changes direction. MA reverse cross on the traded pair. .... etc.

Hi abokwaik,

What do you think about a jumping R TP? i.e. determine TP as the same distance to SL (i.e. 1R). Then if price reaches this hidden TP level SL is moved to BE and TP is moved up 1R. This process continues. Could be combined with a close on an opposite signal?

Keep up the good work,

I do like the cross correlation filtering.

Adding this to an M1 logic that is currently running has slowed down the trading, but on a Cost Average trader, has also minimized the draw.

Not absolute perfection, but enough for me to start working with other pairs I wouldn't normally trade...

Link

Reasonable expectation and multiple forms of triggering and exit logic to allow for consistent profit while allowing a cut loss if/when the proverbial shit hits the fan.

Stats are great. Of course with your touch of magic. 30% in less than a month with 6% DD and huge number of trades. It's a winner.
