Quick note, your trend lines are incorrect. Remember to focus on the two most recent highs, because you are using the TL to measure momentum primarily.
Also, the weekly demand zone you highlight is not fresh and has had a penetration >50% of its range.

to anyone who thinks they know the answer to this. In the following chart I have directed a line at a leg out candle that has an upper wick. Is this classed as a test of the zone or not? Is it still an indication that a lot orders have been used up, therefor weakening the level? On the 4hr chart there are many zones within the daily zone that have all reacted to the prior level (not fresh zones) which I believe in turn have formed this wick on the daily. Any guidance appreciated

I don't have good PM in D1, so i decided to sell on H4 to reduce my risk. Target is buying area on D1

that worked out well for you conom. I had the same pending except I never included the lower wick as part of the 4 hr zone, so I missed the trigger by about 6 pips. It was a tough zone to draw I found.

i have read about orderflow trading .but for that nice indicators are available in ninja trader .. that is GOMI but for mt4 nothing like that of ... and for nt only data feed are available for tick data and no mt4 provides that facility
any one have any idea about this?

I am a first time poster but have been reading for a few days now. I must apologize up front as I am about to take the thread back to the begining with some basic questions.

CADJPY Monthly chart. Do my DZ and SZ look to be drawn in the correct places? Have I marked the SZ as in control correctly? I made the SZ that is in control a dashed line as it appears to have been violated at the white arrow if I assume the SZ is drawn correctly. Would that still make this the SZ in control or would it be the SZ that is higher and solid in color?

Hello everyone.

Whilst we all wait for the Non-farm payroll results later today, i would like to take a few lines to talk about Trading as a business.

Trading is a bit different to any other type of business in that we do not have any product we are selling to customers or any service we are being paid to provide.

We all enter the markets for one purpose, at least to start with....to make money consistently.

The tools we use to achieve the consistency we seek are a consistent strategy coupled with a consistent approach to the application of that strategy in that market.

Consistent strategy + Consistent Execution = Consistent results

A strategy, whatever it is, must define the following:

1. It must define what an opportunity is in the market
2. It must define how that opportunity can be taken advantage of (Entry)
3. It must define how the benefits from the opportunity can be reaped (Exits)
4. It must define how the opportunity is to be managed should it go the way we want or not go the way we want (Stops & Stop management).

Consistent Execution is where the TRADER himself/herself comes in.
Having a consistent strategy without consistent execution profits no-one. It is a road to frustration.

That is why the Trader before he even looks at a chart must answer some questions.

Do i trust the methodology I use? (Why?)
Do i understand the optimal money management strategy my methodology requires? (Have I done the trader's math working with R:R ratios and win rates i derived from forward and back-testing?)

When people speak about "trading psychology" - what is really being described at the end of it all is one question - How CONFIDENT is the trader with his process and execution?

Gain Confidence by doing some or all of the above and you will manage your psychology.

A note, you could also draw the Demand zone as one big large zone. Remember you are not trading this monthly time frame but rather, just using it to map out the current field of play. So exact pinpoint accuracy is not altogether necessary though desirable

The methodology we use here is the Supply-Demand methodology.

To get a better understanding, can i suggest you take the time to read through the posts.

To summarize the methodology, all we do is look for areas on the price chart where supply exceeds demand to sell, and where demand exceeds supply to buy.

There are rules to analyzing a price chart using the method though, rules to guide analysis. You will find them doing the work of reading the posts. There are too many to describe in full here.
