I agreed with Malc and Dr G that daily blog articles will always remain free - its a blog after all, thats the point. However I have been trying to persuade Malc to write an ebook about his trading experiences, as I know this thread saved me from blowing up my trading account years ago and I for one would buy a book by Malc in a shot. Some of his stories are awesome, I'd love to see them down in print (ask him about the 20 lot sell that was meant to be a buy but worked out beautifully lol)

much could be said. Tom is a brilliant man and an ex syndicate trader . How many syndicate traders are hanging out here ? I think an ebook on the trials and tribulations of a novice, regular Joe guy might be an interesting read . I wish I had something like that all those moons ago then I would not have made all the mistakes I have made in my trading experience .

I doubt I will get time though to write a book in the next fifteen years .. Way to busy with my young son and regular life .. And the odd trade here n there

I think it's a good idea, count me as a first buyer. Also I would like a trading room (paid) too, to study VSA further in real time, something like this thread but with more everyday screens if you are thinking about something like that - I will gladly buy.

Its sad when a thread becomes commercial. It should be moved when this happens.
This happens once or two times a year a thread "becomes" commercial. Its always the same way.
For those of us on FF we have seen it. I could name threads as the other old timers all could
I have seen a common pattern I have seen through the years.

1. People are pulled some there else off Forex Factory. - most often - only " a special" few can go at 1st - later its open up
2. A chat room is set up - normally "the people" ask for it - "beg for it." in fact the idea is normally planted.
3. Then a better "PAID chat" room is started
4. Often paid signals happen.
5. A few months later we hear of people losing a lot money.

If someone is going to go commercial and that is ok- but it should be stated it and the thread moved to that area.

No one can teach anyone to trade
I know 3 bank traders - one very large.
You know how they are trained? Each said about the same thing

1. Very little "teaching" training
2. Simple sets up on a screen - in fact about 8 screens at the sometime- its screen time that is needed
3. The 1st 3 months they lost money - real money and quite a bit
4. At about the 3rd month they should be break even
5. After 6 months they should be make money
- if they are not making money at that time they are fired
- they says only about 1 in 3 or 4 have the "magic" happen - the lights either go on or not.
- The traders either start to see some kind of the patterns or not
- And these people these traders- should be the best- well education and were screen out etc.
6. For these traders to make money its about 60 hours (hours in a week they work) x 4 weeks x6 month to make money . That is 1440 hours!
- It takes that amount of screen time to understand the market. And they need to work it out - often after hours.
7. All good traders know
- You can take a bad system with a skillful trader and make money
- and you can take a great system and a bad trader and lose money
The difference is screen time.

There is no need to pay anyone to learn to trade esp. if someone is doing it through the back door.
Talk to people on FF -ask them how much they spent on learning forex and if it was useless- it was.

And as for VSA there is so much on the web for free!
SO - Send the 1440 hours learning and save your money to trade with .

I know exactly how you feel! I mean look at what went down with someone like Darkstar he released a book a few years ago and now look at where he's at. I did get the book out of curiosity, knowing that most of what he would talk about was already available here at FF for free but scattered throughout different topics/posts.

The book was fine, it's the other costly services that later popped up where I drew the line. As those things usually never actually guarantee anyone trading success. It's the countless hours of screen time with your own triumphs/failures and getting to know yourself as a trader, that's a great way to learn. Forums/blogs can be helpful too but within reason...

Just to clarify . There is going to be no book ... Lol . Not from me anyway . Steve spring that one in me .

We have formed a blog as it's not just to attract traders, but to attract people that want to build wealth and do not have time to spend hours in front of the screen . Eventually we may send out some trade signals, and yes there is the thought that it would be a paid service . Small fee to make money ... Something wrong with that ?

In the last few years I have not had the interest in sitting in front of a screen for hours , so put some money with a manager that I trusted and had a good track history .. Of course he did not do this for free and I was happy to pay as at the end of each month there was profit .

The guys on the blog believe in vsa so much that we believe we can help other's build wealth ..

The gu tankage yesterday was one of the best set ups I have seen for ages and set up for three days before new .. Below is our fb chat . I was so strong on it I sold before the news

Calm down lads

I only said I wanted to persuade Malc to write a book - even if it was just pub stories about trading I'd buy it. Not sure about anyone else, but when you get me talking about trading over a beer you can't shut me up so I love any kind of trading chat.

btw Malc I still think you're wrong about EU but thats what I love about trading and all the friends I've made over the last 8 years trading - we're not always the same but we all share the same enthusiasm for reading the charts using volume.

Edit to clarify: my reading of EU is what I posted here.

EU I cannot get a good feel for . From the 4 hour chart below we see volume coming in at 1.1180 area. Then we poked up out of that area but on low volume .

On the daily it looks like a 2 bar reversal . I cannot get a strong feel for it so may not trade her today . I would buy a breakout of 1.1180 with a test after the breakout and further sos , or will
look for signs of weakness at 1.1180 area ... But with nfp prive action maybe over in one 15 min bar .

TEB - while I'm here, do you remember Wayne's thread - and Wayne's turtles? I lost a lot of money on that, as did many others I believe. I learnt a lot from it, including trust nobody lol. However it hasn't stopped me buying things that I'm interested in - Gavin's book (I actually quite liked it even though others didn't), Tradeguider - I even bought Seamus's MT4 software and having seen the effort he put into that I absolutely wish him all the best with it. I even like Ashraif's commentary, although I don't trade his calls (nor pay his subscription service).

Maybe I'm just lucky that I've been successful enough I can afford to buy things and 'write them off' if they're no good. But I remember well the days when i just couldn't get what Malc was saying. It took me months, and in some cases even years to fully get this, and I paid for quite a few things along the way to get there. Either way I don't care - the key thing is I have this skill now and nobody can take that away from me - and I really really enjoy talking about trading but never really get enough time. Hence the blog becomes part of my nightly routine, which I'm enjoying a lot.

My initial reaction is ... Is that futures or forex?

If forex then there could be something wrong with the volume feed . I have checked two platforms and not getting that huge volume on the daily .
Can other's please post their daily eu charts ?

Looks like forex.. Its been forever and I don't remember the brokers name. But there was a major broker (fxcm maybe?) which they would make some change to their server and it would throw the daily volume all out of whack and it would look like that. Because of that I don't trust daily tick volume.

Yesterday's trade AUDUSD/CADJPY both were stopped out at BE.

But NZDUSD is still running strong, I risked 3.5 pips, really loving how you get instant results from VSA.

OK, a few words from my side.

First I am not in any way connected with Malcolm or Steve Gill, I dont know these guys, never met them, never spoke with them, never exchanged PM, text or email.

I found VSA some time ago and this vacation decided to give it a shot. Studied much of TradeGuider material available (good as an intro but not much about Forex and small amount of examples so progress is too slow). Then I found this thread. After a month I have a document of over 800 pages long: over 1000 of screens with explanations from Hidden Gap, Malcolm, TEB, Intel. And yes, I have read it, twice so far. Finally I have feeling that this is going somewhere I want to go.

Now I expect it will take me at least a half a year to learn VSA to the level of being good. Maybe a year and even longer and I am ready for that.

Studying under someone with greater experience can shorten my path to my goal, plain and simple. I can pay for that, but unfortunately there is nothing interesting to buy.

Yes I am aware that there are many fraudsters, even very skilled and well prepared ones, if you doubt read Jackos story here on FF (Jackos house of pleasure and pain begin with last pages).

On the other side of scale is this thread with a lot of history, proof of results (lately TEBs) great posts from respected traders, it would be a great pleasure to learn from them on a daily basis. eBook or paid site would be of great help for me, signals would be OK (easy money I think).

From my point of view I would like to see something like this thread, screens with brief explanations, sometimes hints where to look for a good setup, which setups are the best ones and why.

Sorry guys if you feel any inconvenience reading my comments, please forgive me, I am very straightforward person, hope you wouldnt mind. I have a lot of respect for you all.

just to get some discussions going I would love to hear other vsa traders thoughts on Eu prior to NFP

I am bearish based on my earlier chart , not saying for a long term trend but maybe 100. The fact they are moving it up in London makes me even more bearish .
Steve is bullish .

Thats the way EU is right now but I would love to hear others thoughts

I try not to make predictions because when they're wrong I get all butt hurt.

But I don't see the selling, I see buying. If I was long right now I wouldn't be interested in taking any profit until 1210-1250.
