Technically the price action doesn't tell the time. However, price movement at the early of the year will decide where a currency pair will head over the entire year.

Gold inside the big range, but pulse what we saw yesterday can show to us the powerful buyers, which will push price to top of this range. Today can be rollback and after it move to 1360.

This year it did. But look at last year. It was up in Jan, down for the year. Same the year before. Nothing ever happens the same year after year.

As for timing price squaring can help with it.

So I disagree on both counts.

BTW gold is not a currency, it is a precious metal. But the same applies to currencies.

Totally agree with this.
The PMs started their upward swings fall 2015 so until these have finished prices will move higher.Since the beginning of the year coincides with the swings and them also being extraordinary long the rule with January prices fits this year.Depending on how long it takes to get to the top,say until early 2017 if it should go for the max swing length your rule will fail next time.The science of swings is like nuclear physics,you cant see whats causing the effects

You got your point. In last year 1st quarter, price only up 2 weeks before Chinese New Year as Chinese was flooding to buy gold. From 3 weeks onwards price are retreating down. 1st quarter is a down trend for Gold. Hence, year end Gold was on the bottom. I trade XAUUSD. Hence, Gold is somewhat related to US dollar currency. Therefore, I need to read a lot of fundamental information in order to trade Gold.

Gold found the resistance near the yesterday maximum. I think this resistance showing some big seller. Target is 1300.

Today is last friday of the month. Maybe some action coming up

Im long 1334 but must admit I have no idea where gold is going at this time.

I have a short on Silver that I opened after it formed a doji below 20.50 with target at 19.75.
