Forget my last post, I think it was because it was weekend, the problem was solved after the market open.

I want to start by saying thanks to Tim for the Great indi.

I dont know if Tim still checks this thread but if so I wanted ask if he is willing to add a function for me/us to his great indicator.Very small addition and I am happy to pay for it as it would be great if it is included in the original indicator so I don't have to go to MQL5.com to get someone else to do a separate indicator for the same purpose.

I have currently been doing the following manually for the last couple of months but I am sure it should be very easy to integrate int the current code.

Currently the indi plots vertical line for the news events and then removes them when the new week's news begins according to FF calendar.

All I have done is to drop another vertical line on top of line for all news that are Medium or High Impact and saving the Template very week and so I have created a weeks worth of this type of history so I know where the news was when I look at my past weeks trading.

What I wanted to ask is if you could not write a simple function that does the following ( not sure how much work it is as coding is not my strong point )

Your indi creates lines like this : "Name : News @ 2016.05.30 09:29" , "Description : EUR[Germ Prel] "

Could it not create another line as well : "Name : News @ 2016.05.30 09:29_Permanent " , "Description : EUR[Germ Prel]_Permanent " that it does not remove every end of week.This will then leave a trail of permanent lines.

Granted it wouldn't give us the history if it hasn't been running for for the weeks but like I said I have been using it for months and it would really help and save some time and effort.

PS - Or maybe someone would code a separate indi that does it by checking all vertical lines plotted and making a "Copy" of them that is not removed ?

Let me know what you guys think.

EDIT : Or maybe just have a True / False on the function that removes the lines?

would it be possible to add a font size input to newscal and newsbrk? these are very difficult to read at current font size : /
I have problem of integrating this News Indicator to my EA. I want to let my EA determine if there's red news 30 minutes before and after . Because if there is my EA won't trade.

I tried to use iCustom function, but the problem I have no idea what variable to retrieve, especially I have no source code of this news indicator.

Hoping you can help me on this.
does this thing still work? i download the ql4, clicked compile and i don't think it did it successfully.

(i need an indicator or something to plot vertical lines of PAST news events. so i can see what happened on high impact days etc)

i got it working, but i would have liked it to display PAST news events as vertical lines. it does that, but not that far. that way i could look over a long way and see the effect of news. let me know otherwise people. thank you

A news events filter must be coded inside the EA.

Hi all,

I have problem using Newscal V1.07b..

I rent 2 vps, lets say vps1 and vps2, and I attach Newscal V1.07b on both vps.

vps1, showing correct hour for upcoming news, but vps2 showing incorrect hour.
I detect this problem about 2-3 weeks ago, and I send a request to change vps2 server to my vps company.

Although the vps support move the vps twice to new server, the problem still exist.
And the last server is located on same city and country (france).

I also trying to change the date/time on vps2, but they keep change to the original date/time about 1-2 hours.

My current local date/time (my computer) is about 8.48PM when I create a screenshot below, so vps1 on right side showing a correct incoming news hours and vps2 on left showing invalid news hours.

Please help how to fix it..

Did you tried to login on FF from each VPS and see if the times differ ?

Hi FerruFx, thanks for replying..

I check on vps2 (the problem), and browse to FF and syncronizing the time to vps clock, the result is FF time and vps is not match..

Your pic show clearly the calendar on your chart with the time of the PC (VPS). So the time left for each event is right according to the VPS time.

Yes, it is correct according the vps time, but, this will happen :
CB Consumer Confidence is released but in the calendar CB Consumer Confidence is 5h left..

This is incorrect information.

How can I change the date/time on vps ?
I change it, but about 1-2 hours when I check it again, it back to wrong date/time..

I'm not sure how this version is coded ... but the FF calendar is provided (.xml) with GMT times ... so in your case that might be an issue with the difference with GMT and the VPS local time.
