Disliked{quote} Check again, one for 5.0. 6.2, and 6.3. I basically want to take the results from the set of post 332 on V5 and then apply the ATR multiplier.Ignored
DislikedDo you also have an input for max distance ATR in v6? Or is that a typo (it is actually the max)Ignored
Disliked{quote} No. It was not coded yet. Here are the test passes on CT6.3 with ATR Max Dist varying from 0 (disabled) to 10. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} For coders willing to continue the development of Yen Trader, here is mq4 source code for the latest tested releases (4 and 5). My request is to acknowledge and maintain the credits and share your good improvements in this thread or a new thread on FF. All the best {file} {file}Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hmm, that looks really odd (as ATR max increased the results should have approached it disabled). I will look at 6.3 further and see if it works over the tougher years like v5 did. Keep in mind that some of the filters you had in 5 worked well, at least on GJ (greatly limited number of trades, but that might work great on multiple pairs).Ignored
Disliked{quote} 0 (=disabled) is the max (infinity) as the validation is not activated, 1 is the minimum. So the EA will trade at any distance from the MA, hence it has the max trades. The complete code of YT5 is still encapsulated inside CT6, if you guys insist I can bring all the input options back.Ignored
DislikedWould be interested in seeing v6 with the min max ATR input. Not sure I follow on what changed in the core system (hi-low vs open close maybe), but v6 looked trade-able as it was on 4H, except for TP/SL levels based on current historically most extreme ATR levels. Don't want to clutter your thread, if interested I will PM.Ignored
DislikedI have to say that TP and SL in pips will be missed, frequently (in other EAs) tests give better results with fixed values. And why TF disappeared? My best backtest of Yen Trader was M1 (chart) / M5 (EA)...Ignored
DislikedCan you explain what this means?Greater by a min of x pips. where x is H1 ATR(24) thanksIgnored
So one way (the simplest) was to use Close vs Open prices.
Greater by a min of x pips. where x is H1 ATR(24)
So if we are trading GBPJPY on H1 time frame, we check the ATR indicator on a specific period, 24 hours in the example, on GBPUSD and USDJPY.
Suppose it was 20 pips on GBPUSD and 15 pips on USDJPY
Now we consider GBPUSD is UP if the current price is greater than the price 24 hours ago by 20 pips, and we consider USDJPY is up if the current price is greater than the price 24 hours ago by 15 pips. If both conditions are OK we buy GBPJPY at current price. Same method will be applied on DOWN for selling GBPJPY.
