{quote} Thanks Jason, please let me know if I should contact someone at fxcm directly on this. Form my perspective, its should be possible, both legally and technically.

Thanks NL, I've shared your request with my colleagues in our software development teams regarding whether non-tradeable CFD quotes can be made available to FXCM US accounts and will update you if there is any news on this front.

You are correct that this should be possible both legally and technically. What still needs to be assessed is the potential impact this could have on server resources, especially since it would be for CFD products our US clients can't trade under CFTC regulations.

I will let you know if we decide to make non-tradeable CFD quotes available to FXCM US accounts. In the meantime, you can always set up a separate FXCM UK demo to view these quotes as mentioned in my earlier post: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...69#post9032169

Could you not just look at the FXCM charts on TradingView?

Only a few shares working in demo so assume a work in progress.

Other than above, so far, excellent.

Yes, that possible and I will test off of that UK demo, but only if I can see a realistic option for trading live in the US, which means in my case through a MT4 expert that analyzes the CFD and FX feeds. For longer term strategies that are less sensitive to delays, I might be able to use a MT4 trade copier from the UK demo to the US live account, but I would have to look at that option further, most critically if the demo feed is different than the live feed in any respects (difficult for me to analyze as I cannot get the live feed).

Thanks for the suggestion, Mitch

Yes, that would be another option for US traders wanting to chart CFD prices for stock indices, metals and energy products.

While FXCM offers trading in hundreds of top international share CFDs, only 40 products will update at any one time in the Market Watch window on your MT4 platform. Therefore, you must individually select the shares you're interested in trading and avoid clicking "Show All." Symbols added beyond this number will not display live pricing.

Hi NL,

To clarify, is your goal to trade CFDs? If so, please note CFTC regulations prohibit brokers from offering CFD trading in the US. Therefore, FXCM can only offer CFD trading to non-US residents.

Since FXCM's technical support doesn't bother to reply to my multiple inquires about bugs, I'll post them here.
For today, we have TSII showing a huge 3200 gap on UCHF. It has happened before on some other pairs. Of course such gaps are not existent and only intended to take you out of your trades. That clearly shows FXCM is a market maker.

Please clarify for me what I should be looking at in the image you posted, because it does not look anything like my 1-minute chart on Trading Station. It might be a display issue on your platform, which I would be happy to troubleshoot for you. For starters, what time zone are your charts using? Mine are displayed in New York time.

The last time we discussed, you were trading on a demo account. Is that still the case? Do you still believe we are after your demo dollars?

FXCM offers traders the choice of different account types (Mini, Standard and Active Trader) and provide transparency regarding your execution options.

We provide No Dealing Desk (NDD) forex execution to all Standard accounts and Active Trader accounts. We also offer Mini accounts which use DD forex execution. Our liquidity providers include global banks, financial institutions, prime brokers, and other market makers. FXCM LLC currently has 16 liquidity providers:

just want to double check and confirm what the FXCM website shows. For the "Active Trader" status, commission is discounted depending on the number of lots traded per month. My understanding is that the lots are counted on opening and closing the trade (as commission is charged on open and close of trade). So, what would be the number of lots traded per day to get the first level of discount (25% discount, $30 per million)? Assuming all trades are opened and close within the day . . . Thanks for your time, Jason

Hi Vosterfxandy,

I haven't heard any other reports of issues connecting to MT4 server FXCM-GBPDemo01. Just now I was able to connect to this demo server myself. If you still have difficulty logging in, please let know.

Thanks NL, that's what I originally thought but wanted to make sure. For now, please use an FXCM UK MT4 demo or TradingView charts to view CFD prices. I will let you know if our developers determine they can add access to non-tradeable quotes of these products on live accounts for FXCM US clients.

Hi Elovv,

This update is still pending. While I don't have a specific date for you at this time, I've been told it should be soon. In the meantime, if you need to see MT4 demo charts that reflect the raw FX spreads available to Standard accounts, please set up an EUR-denominated MT4 demo. You must select EUR as your currency on the demo registration form.

Hi Jason,

To qualify for the first discount tier of our Active Trader program, you must have a monthly notional trading volume of at least 50 million round turn. Excluding weekends, that comes out to about 2.3 million per day .

right. so is that 23 lots or 11.5 lots (open and close both counted)?
