Has anyone else's Admiral DX died a death?

I've noticed it has updated since Friday and the symbol is now grey... Having to use Ava trade which doesn't use NY close candles.

C12, I took this trade after the H1 retest with SL above H1 Zone but it looks like you are waiting to see if the zone is taken out. Could you explain the reason for waiting? and if the H1 zone is taken out what do you look for next? LTF M30,M15,M5 entries. {quote}

No i'm already short on this one, stop in the same place as you.

I don't like to post charts with entries right next to entry as others might take them.... and get cheesed off it's wrong.

Took some hits on EU which is annoying since I saw H1 demand form and ignored it...

Now I'm blaming Admiral for lack of DX.

{quote} I can see a D1 bear engulf off a daily zone (although mid zone) H4 bear engulf (with what looks like space to run some). H1 bear engulf (which just got tested a few mins ago). Will have to see if that gets taken out. {image}

The H4 bullish gap, which isn't actually printed as a gap on my IC Markets feed, would keep me out of current H4 shorting (I'd prefer to see if the market printed a fresh H4 supply here first - at least a 5 hour wait for that).

Regarding the H1, on my feed the supply at 0.76013 hasn't yet been tested - current H1 pivot high is 0.76006. I don't trade this pair any more but until at least the H1 is properly tested it'd be a no-trade for me.

Edit: only just seen that you're already short. Different strategies/different approach

Yeah it's not a slam dunk setup. I took it on the formation of the H1 engulf with a fairly tight stop, about 15 pips.. I saw a good RR potential if it pulls off so will see.

Still fuming that I missed that EU long setup. It was one of those setups that was so obvious but for some reason fail to pull the trigger.

Clear initial target was M15 mid zone. Must have been asleep at the wheel.

Mondays.....

Looking at daily it's quite possible EU just wanted to kiss the daily PA and shake out some shorts. That may well have been the plan for the day.. I agree, we'd want some PA for some longs now. Would have to see a solid engulf or this level blown out.

I've scalped the short off the M15 midzone and short GU as well.

Yea, GU's interesting because of where that supply zone's formed.

Obviously no predictions here, just outlining what I know may setup my side (with obviously no guarantees it'll work out even if does setup).

These days I'm quite happy to sit and watch things unfold - if it takes a day or two, so be it. Like you say, the discipline is not just to keep out of bad stuff, it's also to pull the trigger on the good stuff. Funny thing, that discipline

Yeah, GU formed at a nice level. Interesting it didn't print on the indi.

It seems we're still total opposites when it comes to trading. As I said before, if we could combine or personalities (my courage and your discipline) we'll be the ultimate trader.

AU outcome. took some messing around though but this pair tends to move overnight.

More to go on this I think.

Kiwi, I just love it when you sell and then forms a bullish pin bar right at the point you hit the sell button....

UCAD - Got back in late on the H1 PA.... Notice it spiked the new H4 demand.

I think we've just got to accept some dirty play, confusing PA and sometimes get forced into overnight holds (which I hate to do).

... Or you could sleep with one eye open.

Good trade

Which broker are you using? I don't trade this pair but it looks like 0.7600 ended up being properly tested on the H1 although our data look different.

This broker is FXOpen uk.

I think IC are good as well but I noticed there was quite a bit of freezing on their demo with multiple instances of MT4. So was thinking that might be due to the server location.

Nice one guys. It's good to see we've got the same general ideas going on.

I agree with you Dave, I hope UCAD can finally make a decisive move. In fact, I hope DX can break out of this choppy range it's been in since Brexit.

EU specifically has been an absolute turtle..... !

yeh EU has been dead. GU should kick into life tomorrow. Especially if we close as a daily bear engulf today which looks possible. Im out due to that annoying spike.
