I'm looking for a broker that allows tight spreads (like 1 pip) or even better (ZERO) on MT5

Interested to know what your allure to MT5 is ionone?

We recently stopped offering MT5 because simply nobody (and I mean nobody) used it! We've found that the fact it isn't compatible with MT4 indicators or code is the biggest roadblock to our clients making the switch.

If MetaQuotes are serious about a next generation MT4 platform, they just have to make it backwards compatible. Simple as that.

i LOVE MT5 !! Of course it's not compatible with MT4 and i agree that the nextgen should be compatible with older versions but man the strategy tester is so good!
1) the graphic is time based, not order based.
2) the equity is shown (opened orders are shown) making it much more accurate to live trading
3) the "delay" option, that simulates slippage & requotes
4) 100% tick accuracy by default
5) "live real tick" testing option, for testing ona specific broker the real ticks !

but it's not perfect :
1) you cannnot see the transactions before the end of the test
2) SL and TP are not shown for some reason uless you open the results in a browser.

with these parameters in mind i've discarded a lot of EAs but i've also found some gems!

Only problem : to find good broker with MT5, and there is less EAs available of course...

My broker offered mt5 platform, I tried but it's really uncomfortable. It differs a lot from mt4, I understand that it need time to accustom to it, but I trew away this idea and return to mt4. It's closer to me. mb they will change smth in mt5 and I will try it later, but now no..

look if you like mt5 because you can test tick then ok cool. Are you aware you can do the same thing with mt4 ? And have many more regulated brokers with low spreads to choice from ?

Also another aspect of your learning how to trade you should really learn about Google. Google provides information by essentially only typing in what it is your looking for. You will then get millions of hits! Try mt5 spreads or mt5 brokers.n

In all fairness, i don't think Mt5 is really that good, but obviously your choice. I think you better be with broker that got some spread, if you go with zero spread type then it won't matter since you will anyway be paying commission.

We've been having this discussion over in the 'is there a broker without any spread, just commission' thread which you can check out.

Essentially what we're talking about is that any broker offering 'zero spreads' or 'only commissions', cannot be an ECN broker and you should be aware of this fact. While an ECN broker can offer zero spreads if their aggregated prices from liquidity providers see the right circumstances line up at the time, it cannot be guaranteed like some promise.

Then it is clear that demand is lower.
But that is the fault of brokers. Perhaps try with better conditions

Advantages of MT5 not mentioned before:
netting;
better event control / more event driven;
chart object;
order book;
asynchronous order transmission.

Advantages of MT4:
None (10+ years fx stone age technology).

Not too many brokers offer MT5 so zero spread could be rarer. Why not MT4?
