Maybe I can help, let me try and make a simple step by step explanation to this: Have your terminal open, then click on new order as if you want to make an order. From the displayed dialogue box, check mark the box for enable maximum deviation from quote price. Finally you can choose the pips you want from the options presented in the box for maximum deviation below it. Am on their platform right now and the pips maximum pips there is 10. You shouldn't have much fear, their platform doesn't freeze.

Hi,

I can tell you that the execution speed of orders have matter only on the time of news spotting. For example my current broker FxPro has awful execution speed during news. Last 4 month average execution speed is above 30 seconds. From 20 seconds to 80 seconds execution order (plus requoting and no quote messages). As you know sent order for execution can't be stopped and if a broker decide to execute it on time when this order doesn't matter, every trader can be bankrupt.

Also the support is so slow ... One of my problems took 6 month to be solved. The current (with slow executing orders last 3 weeks fr now and is not solved yet.)
Just to notice that my accounts are on VPS offered by the company so the latency and the server speed have to be the best for this broker.

So lets compare the broker's execution speed according these conditions (VPS, execution during important news, MT4 platform) .

Remind me to describe you LMAX "no last look" execution of MT4 orders ... ridiculous.

What is considered fast?

I've traded with one broker and experienced 150 ms and another broker 20 ms.

Is 20 ms considered excellent and 150 ms considered ok?

I've also traded a brokers where I've seen a few seconds execution where the mt4 just drags its feet

The average order execution time of my broker freshfores is about 0,5 second. About 18% of sale orders are processed for 0,2 second. I guess it's quite fast.

Don’t mind but honestly it’s slightly strange to me how you could count it? I mean are you going with what your broker said? As obviously every broker list such things, but again you can’t really count it. I mean it’s instant or re quote, I don’t think there is ever in between, but I am talking about Octafx that I work with. I believe if we wish to get quick execution or basically the best then ECN broker has to be the order for it.

First, the time stamps are being stated in the terminal's journal; second, you can take the time via mql (script/ea); then you have to subtract twice the ping time to the current server location (as seen in the terminal). This is by and large your order execution time or the time that your order spent at your broker.

Do you even deserve a reply? If you have personal issues with OctaFX then don’t make it my problem, I honestly want to avoid replying to people like you, but sometime people like you target my post. I use Dukascopy since a year ago and so far I´m very with this broker.

Fast execution time, low spreads specially on EURUSD.

Withdrawals are executed within 2 days, at the thirst day I get the money on my bank account. Now they are charging 20 EUR commission for withdrawal, but still is one of the best brokers I´ve tried.

Maybe local bank transfer otherwise i usually have to wait hard to get wire transfers from my brokers so i found a good way to get it earlier in my skrill account within one business day.
