You need to add the suffix to USDJPY also. Are you getting any errors?

I run the same inputs on M5 and M15. Returns are about the same for both charts, but
M15 has less DD.

I am seeing these in back tester:

Also see normal ones:

EDIT: The order modify error concerns the trailing stop. When I disable the trailing stop, the errors go away.

Trailing stop to small made this happent, Try bigger TS to test the error.

Hi, Khalil. Thanks for your great work on FF. I have one question - do your EA will work with CHF or CAD based pairs? Or YEN only?

I used this setting i found it does not work for 2012-2015 ( I am sure the data is complete)

Anyone has idea ?

imho backtest are just to verify if the trigger is sufficient, as soon as you start with TP / SL optimizing you are just curve fitting which means in a defined period the results gets better in other periods they get worse. This won´t work in long term.

To me it would make more sense to focus on entry and exit trigger sharpening of this really good basic trigger.

I only backtest to verify trading logic, which I also do in visual mode. My demo is still in the infant stage, but it's doing very well. I will continue to post my results,
warts and all.

TS was over 100, so should have been fine, but will try bigger TS, although that should not matter.

Rob, are you getting any errors in your fxcm logs when the TS kicks in?

Help needed. I have read all seven pages. Twice
no one else seems to be complaining, so it must be me.
I have loaded the EA yen-trader-04 into the expert folder.
I have closed down by mt 4 and reloaded it.
I have put the EA on GBPJPY 5M chart and I've got a happy face.
Trouble is, it does not open any trades.
Any help much appreciated.

redfan, you have the indicators all true - it takes a rare and special set of events for an entry signal to occur on the H1 with those settings. If you let it run long enough then it should eventually take a trade.

I have turned them all to false. I will give that a try.

Ok, the TS is not working properly for me, so I am not testing with that feature anymore. Basic system with 1:3 RR over two years, no filters.
