another 3 pc is same problem, I think when PC shuts down suddenly MT4 losses it's cash memory and loads it's latest saved memory.

FXCM does the same thing to me.. so bloody frusturating. 2-3 times a year my charts like to delete themselves and I get to spend hours redoing all of them.

i had almost same issues some time ago,just create a profile for your chart after your work and keep updating it before you close the mt4...go to file,then profile,then click on save as,then you could enter a name. just a temporary solution before you find the permanent one though.

6-If you have charts lay over each other than when you exit and come back the oldest opened one comes on top. So if you want to see only certain charts on top than minimize all others.
7-After this don't forget to switch to empty profile and come back working one.

I solved this issue with this approach.

Probably your working profile name is default. When mt4 updates it also put its default profile in place too. I had this issue while back than I never work on profile name default. And my default profile is empty, no charts.

probably future s/r in blue lines .. eu less power than uj and gu (eu already inside 1388/0868). close wise. a new month and q3 now. if today closes above those blue levels. i still suspect 1.4066 will eventually have a strong attraction marked by closes above these levels. carney yesterday boosted gu. i didn't expect this at yesterday levels. yest levels were already 1000+ lower than b4 exit. knee jerk dropped gu. so far not a LL, after carney. the week closes today chart levels give a benchmark.
brexit so far, hasn't made london bridge fall futsi wise. things look bearish gu wise, especially below these levels with the larger tf closes. in the coming months i suspect they will get noticed. on the gu, the q2 close was above 3261/51. between the 2 a stall of move may appear with candle bodies.. time will tell,, more than wicks are needed to drop below here. yesterday after carney spoke. the wick retreated before day month close. today being a friday gives a week's measurement.

no doubt things look bearish. that don't mean a higher short will not happen. after carney spoke. the day didn't make a lower day close or a LL.

now is a good time, while things are slow, to determine what to do with a wtf spike or drop. its best to do this w/o the live emotion that will be present. less emotion setting a s/l now or a tp.

I'm not seeing anything else interesting this week really, I didn't take any yen shorts in the end, but maybe a spike down to Mondays LO might be worth a scalp...

i fu and hit a template. is there a way to go back to chart before template wiped it out?

If you didn't save that template your only chance is going File tab at top and than click open deleted and choose chart from there. But if you closed more than 1 chart with same period you can only recover last closed one.

Edit: If you load another template on unsaved template than you don't have any chance to get it back.

i stopped as soon as i did it. i went back.. it wasn't there. the only thing i did do, is open another gu. i had no "open deleted" gu in closed .

hitting templet wiped my fibs off, etc.. oh well back to the drawing board..

Sorry to hear. Your last fib configuration should be same if you draw on other chart if at least changed 1 property of it, like color or line style.

Maybe if u poweroff (unplug) with the platform open & restart u might get the old one back

Btw if you have your old pc still working you can copy last profile from there to new PC with USB. Than your old charts will be available on your new pc.

Templates and loaded indicators or fibs becomes active after they applied as far as I know. Unplug or closing mt4 from task manager does not save them. But did not try it for a long time. It might be changed.

I am strongly recommend to all who are working with multiple charts and templates that you need to make backups of your at least profiles folder to USB memory regularly every day ends.
