Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone had a strategy for the Brexit? Do we treat it as we would treat the NFP or differently? Any advice is appreciated as I think it is too good an opportunity to miss. Thanks for any contributions.

i am Selling GBP/USD till June, 22 once GBP/USD touch's it's 1.4100 or 1.4050 level i will start buying and before the event i am planing to place buy stop and sell stop with 100 to 150 pips difference if British leaves EU then GBP/USD can collapse more than 1000 pips and if British remain in EU than market could move up to 400 - 500 pips
How can you even compare this to NFP? this is crazy, i am shocked with movement right away, i honestly thought 1000-500 pip might be max after Brexit, but now i believe there is even bigger movement in store after such reaction right at start.

so I suppose a result on brexit may come out friday morning, 24th june. so i might watch the charts from 6am friday morning.
I think my strategy is to just sit, watch and wait... I imagine trading will be extremely volatile, although I guess some people might try to take advantage of such trading conditions. Not me though, I'd rather see what happens first...

I second the strategy to sit on the hands and observe.
If you are already in a trade and it is going well for you, you can leave your stop at BE (BE+) and wait. Let the market do what it wants.
Or take your profit and wait. I am not a news trader. So I'll manage my existing position and just observe.

UK will stay in EU I think its quite clear. Markets are also pricing in positive outcome. But I think there is a sense to short EUR and long on Pound + long on Yen and Gold.
Living in the UK right now, massive sense in London than we will stay, of course that differs as you move away from the city. Expectations are that London, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will vote remain, with much of the rest of the UK voting leave.

Latest poll by YouGov showed 52/48 in favour of remain, Bookies have the odds at 25% to leave, so they aren't buying the polls. Money is on remain.
